I think its fair to say that the only logical way for Negan to go storytelling wise is to replace Rick. Seeing as there isn't particularly one character in the show that can drive drama like Negan right now. He is also the perfect candidate to let loose some sexy lucille homeruns on those whisperers.

I just hope we're done with Negan being an antagonist. That narrative has played itself out.

I feel negan will be essential in helping with the whispers arc. Doesn’t mean he’s not going to fuck shit up.

I don’t think he will be a bad guy. I feel that by the end of the season he will help Alexandria against the whisperers and become an ally. Would be a cool thing to do since Carl’s dream was Negan living with them as part of the group.
