Ragnar inspires, while Flint terrifies. Different kind of motivation, i think Ragnar's speeches would work better on me personally.

For those men out there they had to fight pirates for their families to get money. I love how Aaron is low key defends Eleanor. I love Vane, but I had no problems with her betraying him last season to get the girl to Flint. Vane has been screwing over Flint since season 1 and no way Flint was going to give him a warship for the girl. Vane killed her father. They just keep screwing each other over yet somehow end up back with each other despite knowing how bad they are for each other. I never really got upset at Eleanor over it.
