To think it was the guy who wanted to smack Silver for the badly cooked pig and now they ended like this? They come so far and it really shows how much the men need Silver and how much he needs them. It's too sad and hard to watch that man die and especially while hearing Silver's voice break and panically getting hold of his hand again :'( Amazing acting from both of them! I could have seen him becoming a great main or supporting characrer after this, if it had ended differently, but it was oh so powerful.
