Sami are the very true Scandinavian and one of the ancient people toi live in Europe although they are part ancient Siberian turk ancestry. Clavin is close because Finn-Ugrian (Uralic) people who lived in the north-west russian before the germanic-slavic invades are close to the Sami in some ways. They both have kind of very elfic obliques eyes.

I think he meant it is huge for an island. It is 18th largest in the world and second largest in Eorope. And it woul seem huge especialy if only that handful of people live there

Don't have a clue what Shane is talking about in regards to Iceland. Iceland is big yes, but huge? are they thinking of Greenland? And the vikings were the first humans to settle Iceland. I feel like Ricks knowledge of European history/geography would have been great for this show, that or a actual European sat with them. lol Also Alfred is a real person in history, although not a son of a priest. I reckon Rick would know all about Alfred.

The Seer's line was "I see a trickster who's weapon cleaves you", the general fan consensus was that it's referring to Kalf, but could also mean Eckbert, the trick being the farm betrayal.

The Sami are native people from Northern Sweden, Finland and Norway. They are Finno-Ugric people meaning that they culturally and linguistically are more similar to people from Finland, Estonia and Hungary than the Vikings who were culturally considered Northern Germanic also called Norsemen who were more similar to Russians. The Sami are likely descended from a smaller population of Finno-Ugric peoplethat came from further East and settled in Northern Scandinavia, as they have less genetic diversity when compared to other Finno-Ugric groups. In this way they are similar to the Hungarians in that they are an Eastern Finno-Ugric group who moved further West into the Eastern part of Europe from the Western part of Asia.

Since it has been brought up at least twice now in your conversations, I just wanted to point out that there were no "natives" in Iceland, the Scandinavians (aka vikings) were the first to settle there in the 9th century.

There were no natives in Iceland. Vikings were the first settlers. Shane is thinking about Newfoundland and the Viking settlement there. Sami people are located in northern Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Kola peninsula in Russia. They still exist.
