I have a suspicion they will hate the Moffat seasons of this show. DW was a never a hard science fiction show, but under Moffat it became primarily focused on the themes and emotions of an episode rather than the logic of what was actually happening. I fear they wont get this judging by the hard time they are having with Silence in the Library.

Does Eric not pay attention? Every time something unexpected happens he asks whether it's an event that's meant to play out that way, or a new event. But the Doctor has said a million times already, time is a flexible object, there is no set history, there is no "meant to be" or "supposed to be" or "original timeline". Aside from a handful of fixed moments across all of history, nothing has a destiny. So stop asking if this is how it's meant to be, or if this is a mistake caused by time travel. Because there is no "meant to be" and there are no mistakes. It just is as it is.
