I guess the line about the tea pot didn't get a reaction since it was edited out... but Iroh looking for a new tea pot is a callback to what Jinora may have actually done in the S2 finale... Iroh said about Wan/Raava's pot you could still taste a bit of light from every cup... Raava said Vaatu couldn't destroy the light completely because one could not exist without the other... Unalaq when teaching Korra how to turn dark spirits light, told her to "find the light in the darkness"... Jinora with her strong spiritual connection "found the light in the darkness" via Raava remaining essence in the tea pot and brought it to Korra.

When Katara had that line in Book 1 you have to remember that they hadn’t committed to a full series yet. I think that line was meant for the ATLA fans to be like “oh, so they died. That sucks. OK Moving on!”.

Its funny that a bunch of people were hating on this show and these guys are enjoying it just as much if not even more than the first show.

The fourth person to take down the Red Lotus 16 years ago (along with Zuko, Tonraq, and Tenzin) was Sokka! Since he and Zaheer were the only nonbenders at the time, I like to imagine that they went head to head in an epic space sword and boomerang battle

This episode makes me wish we had seen Korra and Aang talk more in book 2. The way Korra talked here about needing Aang to talk to her felt like it would have had more impact if they had talked more than once in the series.

I've been really excited to see their reaction to this episode. Every time they brought up really wanting to see Tenzin kick ass, I thought 'oh just you wait'.

Same here. Tenzin felt like he had the advantage for most of the fight and for once Zaheer was struggling to stay in the fight. Tenzin being a master of air bending mattered here. If anything this was like when Katara fight Master Paku in the first season. She made some good moves and put up a good fight, but the bending master was still too much for her.

If you watch the fight again, Sahir is clearly at the disadvantage, he doesn't land a single attack without assistance where as Tenzen lands multiple and has him on the ground before getting struck by the explosion.

Yeah, this was really a great Episode for Tenzin. I was so worried they would kill him right there, after he got a big epic moment and showed his skills.

Tenzin probably started to train more after his first encounter with the Red Lotus, learning new technics so when the times comes he will be ready.
