I agree with that, but go back and look at the last OVA they reacted too, the crew averages 1000 likes, and maybe 15 dislikes per fma reaction, but the last ova got over 250 dislikes, and countless comments about how it was poorly received, so to say they didn't have time to do anything is not true, unless they are recording 4-5 episodes in advance. And I mentioned before that this ova, probably one of the least relevant, and cared for ova's, is being placed in front of easily on of the most anticipated episodes in the entire series, so they could only imagine that the backlash is going to be even greater then last time, especially since it makes the fans feel like they aren't being heard. Now again, I can't really blame the crew for the timing of the ova's as they don't know they story, or what's in them, but maybe they should have talked with their editor to make sure they they weren't going to be placed in such away that was going to needlessly piss people off. They had a chance to learn from past backlash, and they chose not to do anything about it. And as a result, a lot of people are unhappy, and could result in they un-subbing, or dropping their support.

You're absolutely right that every Patron has the right to voice their feelings, but I'd just like to mention that the crew does an episode reaction about a 4 days to a week in advance to give their editors time to edit them, so this may be an issue with time rather than a choice to ignore complaints.

All they're greeted with is 'whining and complaining?' Um, I'm pretty sure they are greeted with 30k each month, from fans who love and adore their content, while I agree that people should, as a whole, be less 'bitchy" about it, there is nothing wrong with their complaints, the crew puts out tons of content, and for the most part are greeted with nothing but love and admiration, and reactions like this, simply let them know that not everything they do is perfect. Let's be honest, they could have handled this in a way that would have still allowed them to react to the ova, without drawing in this much hate, it was an unnecessary, and easily avoidable move, that simply pissed people off, for no other reason then "it's our channel, we do whatever the fuck we want" and as long as they are ok with pissing people of for no reason, and potentially losing subs and support, then I respect their decision, I still like them, and will continue to watch their reactions, but will not hesitate to point out flaws in the way they are managing their channel, or treating their subscribers, and supporters. Edit: Another thing they are greeted with that shows how well they are loved, is literally thousand of dollars worth of gifts in their mailbags each week, on top of the extremely generous patreon support they get. So I think they can deal with a few pissed off fans every now and then without feeling like they are doing all this work and getting nothing but "whining and complaining" for it.

Everyone needs to calm the fuck down. Dont like the OVAs? Dont watch them. Theres plenty of other content that they make that you can watch the next week. I am in love with FMAB and its one of my favorite animes of all time, but i never knew that they made OVAs for it and i for one am enjoying it because it is new content, for me at least. Its their channel not yours, so stop acting so spoiled about it. They work hard at what they do and all they get greeted with is whining and complaining. Dont like it, dont watch it. Easy, simply, done.

The amount of salt on display by some people is flabbergasting. Blind Wave has been upfront about watching the OVAs during this show, and all it results in is waiting just another week for the vaunted Episode 40. And for the people complaining about 'we paid money'...all you did (for those in the $5 tier) was help decide what show they were going to watch, and given access to shows a week before they're released for free on Youtube. The amount of outrage is way out of proportion with the alleged offense.

What kind of flawed logic is that?! Consider these points: 1- EVERY single reaction is up on youtube eventually, so you are NOT paying for those. 2- You're "paying" for the ABILITY to vote. They get to decide what shows will be on the poll and if they want to react to them (would be a dick move though). 3- If there's anything you're "paying" for, that would be voting on polls, getting videos one week earlier and getting full length. 4- Do you have any idea how many react channels have low or no revenue yet they produce a shit ton of videos on a daily basis?

You guys can say it's a donation all you want, but that's just semantics. You know damn well that we are paying them for it. We pay to vote for what shows they react to, and we pay for early access to the shows. They wouldn't even be doing most of these reactions without the money, meaning that, at that point, we are paying for it. The only reason it is in a "donation" format is because it is the only legal way for them to charge for it.

It would be like them delaying a GoT seaon 8 reaction for a week to react to a 2 minute behind the scenes video instead. I fully respect the crews decision, and Erics response during their reaction of the ova "It's our channel, we do whatever the fuck we want" is absolutely right. I just think using the excuse of "as they become relevant" is highly subjective, and clearly I don't blame the crew for the timing, as they haven't seen the show, and wouldn't know. I personally believe that this ove would have been better at the beginning of the series, it would have made the one tiny scene in this episode that supposedly makes the ove "relevant" right after it, have much more meaning, and would have been a great call back to earlier in the series. I just think it was poorly timed and thought out to put easily one of the least interesting, and unimportant ova's right before easily one of the most anticipated and loved episodes in the series. But I respect the crews decision, and I know that this isn't an easy call for you to make Rhop, and respect you for putting up with all the shit that your going to take for it.

It's pretty easy to guess how the episode will end, and they often react differently when they think they know what's coming.

Okay. I have never seen these OVAs either. I just look at it like any show. When I watched this show for the first time on Adult Swim, if they’d replaced weekly episodes with the OVAs, I’d be pretty disappointed, I figure since Blind Wave are looking for money from me, I might as well let them know what practices bum me out, and feel some comradery with others who are disappointed. I don’t really see why others with conflicting opinions get defensive and feel the need to single out individual strangers to minimize their frustrations.

I think we can all agree here that Blindwave are great dudes, but it's still okay for us to express ourselves in reaction to what they do. After all, if we're paying to watch them react, it only makes sense that they react to stuff we want them to see. And this OVA, for example, is not an episode I want to see them watch, and we should express that to them. At the end of the day, we watch them react, and this isn't something particularly fun to react to at all.

They're just time wasters that have no bearing on anything. 9/10 times they're not even good. I understand watching them after you finish the show, but when it comes to watching the show itself, you don't need to bother with them.

I understand the crew's desire to watch the OVAs, but I think they need to understand that OVAs are not essential to the watching of an anime. They are not like the Doctor Who or other TV show specials. OVAs are considered supplemental content, and are often not even watched by most anime viewers. Sure they can be fun, or give a bit more context to certain characters, but for the most part, they aren't necessary (especially for reactions). I am fine if they want to post OVA reactions, but I want them to please consider uploading them along with main episodes, especially in future anime reactions.
