MailDude

cool reaction.

StevenBrown

Honestly noone liked this episode, i hope you guys dont think Doctor Who episodes will contain alot of these.

This was one my least favorite episodes, but the next three are great so I'm excited.

This episode is my least favourite of new Doctor Who, but that post-episode conversation was hilarious. Good stuff, guys.

IrishNexus

Nothing could make this episode good?

Lance Zehnder

Eric's face at the end LOL. His first question..."Can she suck his dick?"

Jon Dub

The reaction I'm both dreading and looking forward to, this ranks as my least favorite episode of all of Doctor Who, classic and New. The guys reaction is the only thing that would make me watch this one

Ryan Witalison

Next Fear Her and Then the Two episode finale! Three great episodes!!

Brook Davis

FEEEEEELLLLLLSSSSSS

Leah Tumilty

Cant wait! Season finales

Let me be the first to warn about the next 2 episodes. Get your tissues ready.

I always liked this episode up until the end. I'm with Shane, I'd rather be dead than a tile. I can handle the Absorbaloff, it's dumb but in the same remember-this-is-a-kid's-show way that the Slitheen are dumb, but what the Doctor does to Ursula? That's just gross. I think the episode up to that point is a lot funnier if you recognize the way it's satirizing 80s Doctor Who fandom, with Victor Kennedy as Ian Levine. Basically... well, this is a massive oversimplification that makes Levine sound even worse than he is (and he's pretty bad), but basically Levine is a rich uberfan who took the show WAY too seriously and (thanks to having an in with the producers) influenced it to take itself way too seriously, which caused everyone except hardcore fans to quit watching because it wasn't fun anymore, and that's why it got canceled in '89. This article goes into much, much more depth on him (and adds the nuances I dropped): http://www.eruditorumpress.com/blog/pop-between-realities-home-in-time-for-tea-30-doctor-in-distress/ (Of course, then you have an episode about how the 80s fandom helped kill the show by insisting it be made for them instead of for everybody... which requires knowledge of 80s fandom to get the joke. Oops.)

The abzorbaloff was designed by a kid. The ep was written by Russell T Davies

Adele

No thats correct. David Tennant selected the winner live on air but I'm guessing they'd have already chosen to see which would be the easiest to get a concept from... poor kid.

Adele

There's almost always one episode per season that the creators call "Doctor-Lite." They can be some of the best and some of the worst. The next season's doctor-lite episode is one of the best.

Bryan Matola

Oh No… THIS EPISODE! I say with the utmost revulsion.

Supermonaman

I just hope it doesn't put them off from continuing to watch it.

Adele

I couldn't stop laughing at their reaction to the end of the ep. Its legit the worst moment in Who and their faces were immense!

Adele

Could be worse, you could be watching Fear Her. At least you don't have to do that for another week. Silver linings.

It's all uphill from here.

Liam Skoda

Yeah this is, it's, well...it's but a weird one.

Bob Parker

I think this episode was written by kids in a charity event or something

The Abzorbaloff was the winning entry of a competition on Blue Peter (for kids to design their own Doctor Who monster, the winning one being featured in an episode), I believe he intended it to be as big as a double-decker bus too, but the overall concept was his. It is possible I have misremembered though.

Oliver Sharp

Could be worse. They could be watching TWORS or KTM. At least the writer of this one was just being ridiculous, rather than outright insulting to the fans' intelligence. (Trying to use acronyms to be less spoilery.)

Scribbles

Let me be the first to offer my condolences that you had to watch this episode. I'm so, so sorry. Life goes on. In time the pain will fade.
