Legend of Korra 1x11 Reaction Early Access!

I love this episode so much, and I'm glad we got to see a lot of your guys reaction to the flashback. It really is, as Korra said, an incredibly sad story. I've been looking forward to this. As for Tarrlok, I never felt he turned too fast. He was ambitious and a dick, but I think his opposition towards Amon and the Equalists was genuin, and his want to rule Republic City wasn't really a maglomaniac need as much as it was greed and power he wanted. He was a shrewd, corrupt politician, not someone set on world dominion. When faced with what he'd become, and getting a reminder in the shape of his brother, having all those memories of who he used to be and who his father have made him into flooding back, I can definitely believe he started to see the error of his ways, and regret the man his father had shaped him into. It's a big self-reflection, sure, but I can see him being capable of that. I really like it.

I also like how Mako and Korra say all these nice things about each other but when they're together, majority of the time they argue and bring out the bad sides of each other lol. One of the reasons why I outright laughed when Mako said those things about Korra. Like I agree that Korra can be all of those things, but she certainly isn't all of those things when it comes to this romance. At this point, Asami is definitely all of those things despite everything that's happened.

Well, Mako is a dick with Asami. I am not desagreeing in that. But wasn't it questionable that Asami used her wealth to establish abrelationship with him. Mako uses her, that IS a fact. But it might have been awkard for him to have all this money baiting at his face, being an orphan and with need of money for the championship. To be honest, I see flaws in Mako and in Asami when we are talking about Masami. Of course Mako could have never started it.

lol, the whole discussion why zuko never named his son iroh... all dat speculation.... never considering he might have had only daughters XD

Spoiler alert. Funny thing is he does get bent. Bloodbent, that is. Also, literally bent. Because of said bloodbending. So yeah.

Most loyal, brave, and selfless person... you mean Asami right? She treated you like a king when you were dating, gave you the opportunity to play in the Championship, let you stay at her mansion, and went against her father. But no... Korra deserves those titles for you. Get bent Mako.

Bumi is actually the older brother. It's Bumi, Kya and Tenzin. Tenzin's the baby of the family.

I think a major part of the reason Amon wears a mask is that he's a symbol, but also because his back story says he was burned by a firebender. So to avoid constant makeup he wears the mask.

He went to the Northern Water Tribe, not the Southern Water Tribe. And the Northern was the larger of the two tribes. It's far more likely someone would recognize him there, or travel there from Republic City and recognize him, and he would have been extremely well-known after having escaped the Avatar and his infamy as a Bloodbender. So, tl;dr yes he's that well known. Also: No, it's Yakone. No J in it.

Also, a theory on how Amon learned to take away powers with bloodbending: it's just psychic bloodbending done backwards. Instead of using your brain to manipulate blood, you use your blood to manipulate brain. That explains why he can't do it psychically, and maybe how it works--making it so that the part of the brain that controls bending can't get enough blood to function properly, just enough to keep alive.

I think the revenge thing is that both Tarrlok and Amon are motivated by revenge *against their father*. Yakone wanted revenge for losing his bending, so Amon wants to take away all bending; Yakone wanted to destroy the bender-based government of Republic City, so Tarrlok wanted to make it stronger and crush the underworld/dissidents.

Sigh, no one mentions that it's obviously a possibility that Zuko had no sons, and that's why it's a grandson named Iroh. Also, it's Yakone. Anyway, can't wait for you guys to see the next episode.

Neither of the sons were trying to get revenge for their father intentionally, Tarlok in trying to be better than his father eventually became more and more like him. He gave up hope because he realized that both he and his brother were doing what he wanted

It's spelt as Yakone. Tarlok just wanted to be a regular politician, ruling Republic City and getting the people's love and respect (even if it's through manipulation or if it isn't morally sound). He tried to obtain that through politics, rather than through the underworld.
