Doctor Who Christmas Episode EARLY ACCESS

Doctor Who Christmas Episode EARLY ACCESS

Comments

when was the last time you did a reaction where you had the same main character but it was also different? Aang and Korra lol

Mike C

Me too.

Kal-El_138

Hey there! How about a BW ranking of the Ninth Doctor's run? If not, perhaps simply mentioning each of the crew's best/favorite episodes from Series 1? Just curious.

love it

Good reaction, but why did you cut out the entirety of his "What kind of man am I" monologue?

Ashley Jamieson

I was looking forward to The Lion King quote.

Kal-El_138

In the last video you were talking about Torchwood and how to add them into the mix. It actually gets worse as you have another spinoff called The Sarah Jane Adventures (and this season we have had another spinoff called class) Anyway Here is a good site giving the viewing order. I've left the mini epsidoes in but the only one that IMHO is essential viewing is the prequel to the 50th aniversary episode called Night of the Doctor https://whovieworder.com/lists/main?ep=on&mn=on&dw05=on&tw06=on&sj07=on&cl16=on&sort_order=recommended#

The energy he was expelling from his mouth is the Tardis energy, he absorbed from rose. As he was regenerating his body was getting rid of that energy. He mentioned it in the episode soon after telling Jackie to 'shut up'.

Ahhh this brings back memories from watching it on Christmas Day and still sad that we had a new Doctor. But by the end, I warmed up to him.

Dark Soul

"Allons y" - nice, Lono! I recently Tweeted a photo of Theresa May using six very particular words...

Leah Tumilty

Aww, I was waiting for reaction to “ISSA FAHTIN’ HAND!!!”

Ragnarok

I liked it, cool episode, cool reaction guys.

Doomsday; Downs Day is the 21st of March.

I'd say this escalates with Smith. He can look like a wise old man, a god filled with rage, a twelve year old at Christmas, and a solemn and understanding man. He can look dark and manipulative and play that well, whilst often being a child at heart. He encapsulates the Doctor for me.

Alex Hodgkinson

For Eric wondering, the Christmas and further special episodes may as well be part of the main seasons considering they're main episodes :)

Blind Wave's schedule:

Alex Hodgkinson

Season 2 has amazing episodes like Satan Pit, Rise of Steel, Girl on the Fireplace and Doomsday, but also has a lot of shitty episodes. I wish they did more than one for week.

R

You should definitly watch The Night of the Doctor before the 50 anniversary special. For me it is mandatory to watch it. All the others are nice, but this one is important i think. But until then i just am happy that you watch this awesome show!!!! And if you want to watch Torchwood, do it after Series 2 of DW

I agree!! I also want them to watch the 50th anniversary trailer where they show all the doctors and it ends with matt smith's doctor on a cliff and he catches his sonic screwdriver, and maybe a video of all the times the doctor has mentioned the time war in the 6 seasons of new who. I know that they normally don't watch promos for the next episodes they are reacting to, but it doesn't actually show anything from the 50th.

Martin Wiggan

CHRISTMAS HAS COME EARLY! I remember watching this episode with some worry, because I adored Christopher Ecclestone, and I wasn't at all sure what I was going to think about this new Doctor. Safe to say, he had me smiling and laughing and cheering him on by the end of it. I'm glad Eric and Shane seems to be enjoying him a lot too, even though we're just one episode in. Since the later third of it or so is literally the Doctor exploring what kind of person he is, it really does very well in establishing his character, both the good and the bad, and the light and the dark so to say. I've gone back and forth on the Harriet Jones thing, and while I don't agree with her actions, I always thought the Doctor was harsh in that scene. He's terrifying when he's angry. I hope they realized at some point that Eric last week quoted the Doctor in this episode by singing The Lion King. ERIC IS SECRETLY A TIME TRAVELLER GUYS. (Is the Wave Cave actually a TARDIS?) Anyway, glad you're all excited about this series to come. I am too. Also Eric's deadpan expression at "Do you think this is the season where they finally hook up?" made me laugh more than it probably should have. And then the mom comment broke me again. These discussions always manage to be the perfect blend of interesting, ridiculous and hilarious. Oh, and Lono, the effects on Aaron were amazing. Great job! :D About the minisodes - yeah, I think you can make it through without watching them, but some of them add some really nice story touches and fills in holes (like The Night of the Doctor) and some are just really funny (Time Crash comes to mind). So if you ever had time, you could take a look at them. That being said, of course they mostly can't be watched out of order. Wouldn't do to watch The Night of the Doctor before the end of s7, or Time Crash before s3. But oh well. You decide on if you want to do any of them, and as for guides, you've got Lono for that. :) Can't wait for next week, and see where we go as we continue with this New series. :P

JojoInSpace

Clearly one of the best lines in all of DW. :D

JojoInSpace

on the road again Toards Matt Smith

jozeph985

Also so happy u kept the 'I'm gonna be killed by a Christmas tree' line in, live that bit

Callie

TORCHWOOD!! Wonderful video tho guys!! Looking forward to seeing u react to stuff coming up in this season, s2 is probably one of my all time faves from new who

Callie

There is one really important minisode. But it's just before the 50th anniversary so a while away. 'The night of the doctor' please watch it ☺️

Jake Beaumont

After this episode Rose hairstyle changes to the Rose we see the entire season 2

Ishkoten

One of the best thing about having Tennant on the show. He just has 'that face' that can be extremely giddy and happy, but actually a bit scary when he's upset or annoyed. Especially with his eyes. His eyes just sell his happy/mad mood so well.

Herrzimm

Aww, wanted to see The Lion King bit!

I think the coolest part about them reacting to Doctor Who is that they will be able to finish (about) the first four seasons within a year of reacting to it. Yay!

Cody Enos

haha, excelled with the special effects this ep!

Mark McKeown

I have been refreshing for about 5 mins for this HYPE TRAIN
