It was a full moon yes

Well I'm pretty sure

Kaihry Taylor

Yeah they do it every Saturday

Kaihry Taylor

YJ?

Agni Kai

Love avatar tho best animated kids show ever

Kaihry Taylor

Young justice:(

Kaihry Taylor

That's a good theory but the time lines don't add up. Huma was a young lady when she escaped.

Raul Martinez

No, they haven't killed anyone intentionally. Good speculation on blood bending, but it was in fact a full moon.

Koala Banana

Showed it twice, on the same night.

Atraiyu

The problem for Aang being expected to kill the fire Lord is that he was raised as a monk. His whole upbringing has been about peace and tranquility, and then as the avatar his purpose is to bring balance and, again, peace. Even if has has killed people in the past (Implied or not) he has never set out with the sole purpose of ending a human life. This choice between what he believes is right and what everyone expects of him is extremely important and mature, and I love that this show has given it the kind of weight i feel it deserves.

Morrow

it was a full moon look back at the episode you will see a shot of appa in front of the moon

Karston James

Did you guys know that the old women bloddenbdner "Huma" was the reason why her mother was killed. She escaped fromn the prioson using bloodbending and the fire nation went to look for her in her tribe. Little did they know there were actually two last waterbenders Huma and Katara. They were looking for Huma and found Kya (kataras and sokkas mom). Kya lied to protect her daughter thinking she would be a prisoner. The fire nation knew that they couldn' t keep waterbenders captive because Huma escaped with bloodbending, so they had to kill all waterbenders. Huma is the reason kya died. This is all my thoery and nothing is official but I think it makes sense.

Anthony

It never showed the moon not full when she blood bended

Anthony

ALL WATERBENDERS can blodbend on a full moon only and that includes katara. That means that it was a full moon when they atatcked the ship

Anthony

Blood bending requires a full moon and the moon was full when she attacked the ship

Breanna

Gran Gran was not a waterbender

katara not forgiving him is perfect because you can't always forgive and you don't always HAVE to forgive.

Taylor Smithpeters

it's the GAANG, the crew is in Korra

Lukas

Thanks again, guys!!! Just love your avatar reviews

justsomepancakes

Yeah, what Ryan Kosier said, it was a full moon during the episode.

Cosmic Breeze

I'd mention that Katara can't bloodbend during the fullmoon but so many others already have

William Beasley

3 quarter of this comment thread is actually pretty annoying. Just read the other comments before you write one, it takes like a minute.

Noah Hoorn

This episode took place during the full moon, pay attention to the backgrounds, guys. No one in Last Airbender can bloodbendi without the full moon.

Ryan Kosier

TV Tropes strikes again!! After the tent scene, Sokka is seen weaving a white flower (daisies?) necklace for Suki the next morning - symbolizing that there WAS in fact, a "de-flowering" that night. ;) You know...FOR KIDS :D

Sky Sirak

This in my opinion all comes down to how Zuko betrayed her at the end of book 2 especially after she made her offer to heal him. It created this vulnerability that magnified the specific instances in which other people turned their backs against her like her father and Aang (two people she loves) . She is trying to maintain her kind self while also trying to fill up the cracks that Zuko's betrayal exposed. She is overcompensating by being aggressive so that those cracks never becomes laid in front of other people again. It is an experience she wants to prevent next time.

Jack L

Warning: controversial opinion ahead. Pls don't kill me. So anyway, this episode is very good, great even. But it always bothers me so much that Katara never apologised for/acknowledged how absolutely horrible she was to Sokka and the bloodbending of the innocent man. While I get that she was upset, it would have been really easy to address these issues in a sentence or two in the resolution. I feel that Katara's character made a strange shift in the last season that I can't quite put my finger on, but she seems to get away with acting like a jerk often and she is generally less likeable. It kind of puts me off of this episode.

But we still have Korra!

only 1 more ep before the finale. This is so bittersweet

Weiss Schnee

I tell you what. Just the way Zuko says "Shes....not going to make it" that was so powerful. Like, yeah that would end a lot of damn problems, but Zuko realized his Sister, was actually about to die. That was such a confused moment for him, and it hits me hard; having a sibling myself.

Matthew

everyone should learn to forgive not just kids. "forgiveness is for yourself not the other person". you are walking around miserable and ruining your life and those around you with all that bitterness while the person you hate has moved on and not thinking about you. let it go as they say and spread love and peace

rickie woodson

People need to stop commenting about the fucking full moon. THEY KNOW.

TbcAlex

Yup, everyone got it already 😁👍🏽👍🏽

Etty Gafa

it has to be a full moon to blood bend and it was a full moon this episode if you paid attention lol

rickie woodson

This episode is my absolute favorite for this season, and is definitely in my top 3 for avatar episodes. I was hoping for a longer video, so when I saw the time stamp of 21 minutes, I was super psyched. I hope you guys enjoyed it. You're in for a wild ride.

Heather Williams

Just stop

TbcAlex

yeah guys it was a full moon so far this technique is really only possible during the full moon

I know right, haha these guys are goin on and on about it 🤣 awesome reaction ! You guys rock 👊🏽

Etty Gafa

Yes she can only do it on the full moon, but... you can do it without needing the power of the full moon, trust me you can blood bend at anytime

Etty Gafa

No guys, Katara did only blood bend during the full moon. There was a full moon in that scene.

AlexXis Amadeus

Yes, we've seen that there was a full moon. We got it guys :)

Blind Wave

Yes there is, if you watch legend of Korra then you'll know, but if you haven't so don't worry about it until you watch it lol

Etty Gafa

No one in Avatar can Blood bend without the full moon.

Gezno

OMG! This a spoiler, please delete your comment. Smh!

Ever Beltran

This episode is amazing, but I'm dreading the next one...

Chandler LaDeau

You guys didnt talk about the whole Azula thing. Still tho great ep, i woulda waterized the crap outta the dude who killed my mother. Forgiveness on that level feels iffy to me.

Alan

hate to burst your discussion bubble but it actually was a full moon that night. it was a big part of the set dressing while katara was telling her third of the flashback, but the flashback itself distracted from that fact.

Zane

There was no full moon at that night, you don't need it to blood bend, you have to be a powerful water bender to do so, like legend of korra, there were blood benders in there without the moon, they could bloodbend at anytime. It all depends on the water bender.

Etty Gafa

please do the finale allll together as one reaction episode!!!!!11111

I think it was a full moon during this episode. I don't know if they ever showed the moon, but it certainly looks bright for nighttime.

Lincoln Ward

It WAS a full moon when Katara bloodbent, there's an establishing shot that shows it. Speaking of stuff you can't show in a kids' show, my favorite gag in the whole series is in this episode: Sokka's flower necklace the morning after he and Suki were sneaking around. Sokka got lei'd. I'm glad they reacted to Katara stopping the rain. I think it's one of the most badass things she does all series, and a lot of reactors seem really meh about it?

Jen A. Blue

Katara can only blood bend during the full moon. There was a full moon during that fight. My favorite moment of the episode was: Can I borrow Momo for a week? Why? iunno

Neil Prospect

When Zuko and Katara are leaving it pans down from a full moon at the start of the scene and the moon is visible in a couple of other shots as well. It was a nice bit of foreshadowing it you caught it.

So when does DW start?

Gregory Jackson

Sokka and Suki were definitely boning. The morning after he's playing with a necklace of flowers, AKA a lei. Sokka got lei'd.

The moon was full when they attacked the ship.....

DanceSnapple

HYPEE!!!
