The countess is a scary mix of everything bad. After this episode, she is a lot more intimidating than Carmilla. The last 10 seconds of this really left with us impending doom and gloom. Next ep should go hard!

2026-01-08 05:14:20 +0000 UTCThe fact that the Abbot was praying to god and interpreted Maria showing up as "god's approval" when he totally could've listened to what she was saying and took that instead as a sign to stop is so unfortunately real. Hits the nail on the head about how people can choose to believe anything however they want when they've already made up their mind. It was so chilling when he said "God has truly sent you," to Maria while she was pleading for him to change, sick delivery of that double entendre, crazy good voice actor.

Character detailing and cinematic camera shots all just come together beautifully. Even though I had watched this once before, I totally forgot about the detail on the Forge master book given to our party.
