Seems like we have a different type of night creature in this series of Castlevania compared to the last. Poor guy! The secret stairs in this was killer... the fight it gave access to was also.. killer 👀

The device that turned Edouard into a night creature must be different from the hammer/blade from the previous Castlevania. My understanding was that a different sinner from hell took over the body after becoming a night creature through the corpse. For Edouard to gain control of his body after his death, and speak as he was, is a first for us to see.
