Chapter 46 : A Helping Hand?

After the incident, Meru successfully took a bath but her embarrassment was huge, to think at her age someone would drag her to the bathroom to take a bath, it was a very embarrassing moment.

She already finished changing her clothes, she shyly went toward the living room, where Kyle was waiting.

As soon as she arrived, Kyle immediately noticed her mainly because she wasn't even trying to hide her presence, if she did he wouldn't know.

He glanced at Meru whose hair is wet, this was the first time he saw her with untied hair, her beautiful blonde hair was pretty long than he imagined, but he has to admit she looks more attractive with this.

"You're done bathing?"

"Mhm.." She nodded, however she didn't dare to look at him, mainly because she's embarrassed.

"Okay, then now sit down and tell me why are you avoiding me? Tell me a valid reason why?" He looked sternly at her.

She could feel his intense gaze, she didn't dare to look at him, at this moment she look like a child that was being scolded for doing something wrong.

Seeing this, he couldn't help but sigh. "Meru, I'm not angry with you...what the hell happened to you, you're unlike your usual self the Meru I know is a confident, strong, prideful woman, now look at you? Why are you looking down?"

"N-no..t-this just….." She bit her lips, she knew that he was right, she wasn't in her usual self, though Kyle had to do with this, it was mainly her fault.

"Alright, alright I won't force you okay? Geez you don't need to be so tense.. anyway for starters wanna play a game?" He suggested playing because it would probably make her calm.

Surprised by the unexpected invitation, she finally looked at Kyle who was smiling gently at her, she thought. 'Ah...this man..was he always this handsome?'

Unknowingly her cheeks slowly turned red, and she replied. "Okay.. let's play."

Kyle smiled as he succeeded with his plan, Meru gained some of her confidence back, she sat beside him, she asked. "What game are we going to play?"

He pondered for a moment, and replied. "Then let's play street war."

"Okay..then let-" Kyle cut her sentence and added.

"If I lose, I will do anything as long as it's not unreasonable."

"H-huh?" She was bewildered by this, she couldn't understand why she said those.. but...for some reason her desire to win is over the roof.

"Now, let's start now, pick a character."

"O-oh! W-wait a moment." She immediately picked a character.

[ Ready Fight! ]

Kyle's character dashed toward Meru's character and he immediately attacked, this action caught her off guard! It's too late he already hit her character, he didn't hold back at all, he did an attack combo.

Meru didn't even have the chance to counter attack as her character was already K.O'd!

Instead of being happy Kyle frowned, he thought. 'This...to think even her gaming skills had decreased..if it was the usual her, she could dodge and counter..'

He decided to tease her, Instead of telling her that she became weak. "Hoho~ is your hand freezing? Look! You can't even hit me once! Ahahaha so it seems I'm stronger than you now!"

His words were effective, as Meru was pissed and replied back. "H-huh?! I wasn't even taking it seriously, it's just a handicap! You'll see in the next round I'll definitely beat you, I'm going to let you eat your words!"

Without her noticing, she began to calm down and her past tense has greatly lessened.

Kyle grinned, and said. "Is that so~? Let's see, if the great Hatenko Meru-sama is telling the truth or she's just bluffing?"

She gritted her teeth, as he was provoked by Kyle using her title, she shouted. "You! I'm going to beat you! Let's start round 2!"

He smirked, and replied. "Alright."

The game resumed, the second round Kyle used the same attack pattern from before and this time Meru dodged it perfectly.

"Ahahaha! See that! I'm going to defeat you this round!" Meru failed to realize that, her confidence came back and she was having fun again.

But the second round was won again by Kyle, this made Meru pissed and she swear that she will win the next match!

in the 2nd match she still lost.

3rd match, another loss.

10th match Meru finally won and regained her usual self, her smile was beaming as she finally one a match, she was very happy. "Hahaha! See?! I won against you now you shall eat your own words!"

While she was all happy over her win, she realized that Kyle was smiling at her; it wasn't a mocking smile nor a sarcastic one, it was a gentle one.

And that moment she realized that it wasn't about the game but it was always about her, he helped her regain her passion for the game by mocking her, he made her confidence back by making her angry.

It was all for her…

Ah...this man...why? Why is he like this? It's unfair..why are you so nice and gentle to me?

At this very moment, she realized her own feelings...she loved him, she loves this man…

I see...so that's how it is..the reason why I'm acting like that before...I was jealous…

She poured all of her feelings into words and said. "I love you…"

"Huh?" Kyle was surprised by this unexpected confession by Meru, he clearly heard but he played dumb.

"What did you say again? I couldn't hear you properly. " At this moment, he hopes that Meru only said it by accident, but he was wrong.

Meru didn't want to avoid her own feelings anymore, so she said it one more time and this time it was loud and clear. "I said, I love you!"

This time, he couldn't deny it anymore as he really didn't expect that she would confess like that this caught him off guard.

"Stop right there! Don't say it okay?! I definitely won't let you say it! I'm telling you I won't accept rejection, you hear me?! I won't give up until you say yes! I'm aware of the fact that you liked that Tohru woman from the part I'm aware that I'm nothing compared to her appearance, but you can't blame me for falling in love with you! It's your fault! I will definitely let take responsibility for this!" She boldly said those without feeling a bit shame, as she knew her sentences were genuine and real.

Kyle was too speechless to say a thing, this was a first for him, a cute girl confessing her feelings for him, he hates to admit it but he was definitely happy about this.

As was about to say something, suddenly a huge figure appeared behind him, suddenly it breathed a huge red bean instantly destroying half of the entire 69th floor!

Meru was too shocked to move her body, however she was fine, all of her attention was now into the huge green creature above her.

It was a huge green dragon! A real dragon! Suddenly it shouted with an intense killing intent. "Bitch! I'll fucking annihilate you from existence!"

The dragon was our chaos dragon Tohru!
