Chapter 44 : A Kiss From A Dragon?

Because of his words, the atmosphere reverted back, he was glad that it worked. A few minutes later the girls ordered as they liked and as promised he paid for the dish, both Meru and Tohru didn't hold back at all but each with a different reason.

Meru just wanted to make his wallet empty which is impossible because the most expensive dish here is only worth thousands, but actually she just wanted to prank him a bit for making her jealous though she doesn't why, as she herself didn't notice the change of feelings toward Kyle.

If Kyle couldn't pay it, then she'll pay it herself however she didn't know that Kyle is as rich or even richer than her based on personal wealth.

As for Tohru her reason of ordering almost everything is she wanted to copy the dishes recipe and will cook it later after the date, copying is too easy for Tohru as she could see through what's the ingredients that are used to make such dishes, she'll also add a twist in these dishes with her tail meat of course.

As for Ren, she didn't accept his treat. He couldn't really force her, so she paid for her own and the other reason is her family is just too rich to the point that they treat money as an ordinary paper.

Besides, even if she didn't pay for her food, technically her family owned this amusement park. She gets freebies everywhere as long as she shows her identity.

After they eat their fill, they continued their date Meru was planning to join them but she was stopped by Ren, even though she didn't join their conversation she at least listened to it.

"What are you doing Meru? They are having a date, you shouldn't interrupt them, it's rude." Though she's single for all her life she still have some experience, she was still a woman that countless men tried to woo but sadly none of them succeed, because neither wealth or power they couldn't compare to her


"I know that! But it makes me irritated for some reason to see them happy together." Age couldn't understand what she felt at this moment, this wasn't how she usually acts.

While Ren realized something. "Meru..you.."

"What?" Meru looked at her with a questioning expression.

"No, nevermind actually the main reason why I stopped you is to avoid that woman, she's dangerous." Ren's expression turned serious; she might not look like it but she's pretty observant.

This time Meru agreed, and clicked her tongue. "Yeah, I know... even though we haven't fought I can tell that woman is extremely strong...all of the opponents I fought until now even if they're all combined they couldn't beat that woman...no it feels like she wasn't a human at all.." Meru didn't know that her guess was right.

She couldn't forget that sensation from before, when Tohru stared at her even now she felt shivers remembering it, she feels like a prey that is soon going to be devoured.

Meru could only sigh, as her heart was really bitter at the moment she was aware that she couldn't beat Tohru with appearance and power but she might actually win based on wealth?

Either way none of it really matters, as she silently stared at Tohru and Kyle's drifting figure.

The date continued, they went shop by shop as it is Tohru desire they tried every attraction in the amusement park and they were pretty much satisfied by this trip.

Like Tohru, she never had so much fun in a single day back then when she was in another world, she could even barely survive much less having fun her situation didn't allow it.

Time has passed, it is already afternoon. The sunset is almost gone, the people in the park are getting fewer and fewer by seconds.

It was almost closing time and Kyle decided to end their date for today. Tohru didn't complain she was satisfied for today, she smiled brightly as they left the amusement park, the memory from today would be forever remembered by her and Kyle.

"Kyle! Today was very fun! Thank you for inviting me to a date, to think that date was this fun."

He smiled at her, he was happy that she had her fill, for a moment he was afraid that this date would fail but it seems that he was just thinking too much.

"I'm glad that you liked it."

A moment of silence for both of them, none of them spoke however it wasn't awkward at all, instead it felt nice.

Finally after a few minutes of walking, Tohru paused her steps and stared at him, and said. "Kyle...umm... I.."

Seeing her hesitation, he paused his step and asked. "What is it? Don't worry no matter what you'll say I'll answer it positively."

With that, she decided to say. "T-then..can have another date in the future?"

He froze for a moment as he heard this, and after a moment he started to laugh. "Ahahaha, that's it? Sure why not? I was planning to do it anyway and do you really think that this is going to be our last? Not really we're just at the beginning right?"

His answer made Tohru satisfied and happy, she exclaimed excitedly. "Then that's a promise!"

He nodded, and smiled at her. "Yeah, I promise."

Suddenly, Tohru approached him and she did something that he didn't expect at all, she kissed his cheeks. "Thank you, thank you very much for today I'm very happy and this could be considered the happiest moment of my life."

After kissing his cheeks, she left him alone because right now she doesn't want him to her face, she would be very embarrassed if he saw it.

Kyle on the other hand was dumbfounded, he couldn't think properly for some time, and when finally understood what happened, he couldn't stop smiling weirdly and he couldn't control it all, inside his mind. 'Did she just just kiss me?! She totally did right?! Oh no I can't control my smile at all! What should I do? I can't let her see this or I wouldn't know how to face her!'

Both of them are worried of such an unimportant thing, thus the date officially ended with sweetness.
