Went into that battle with high expectations for that nail gun, ahhahah... swing and a missssssss🤣👏😭 I had a lot of questions at the end of the episode that I will need help with, thanks!!! The plot is complex, but it's a really cool story idea. A lot to keep track of, and sometimes pushing ahead when there is still confusion is challenging. I really do need to find time for a rewatch in dub.

2025-10-23 22:33:03 +0000 UTCThe voice actor of the old guy voices a character named Ragnar in Vinland Saga. It's the only other anime you've watched so far with that voice actor. The split personality is meant to be confusing as its working differently than usual depictions of split personality. It's a plot point that'll be resolved at a later time. A little refresher, Hizuru is the female personality, and the one who wrote the book that's constantly referenced, titled "Swampman". She uses her dead twin brother's name as her author name Ryuunosuke. Her split personality is that of her brother. When her hair is down she's Hizuru. When his hair is up he's Ryuunosuke. And as someone mentioned, the monster's literal shadow was cast on Ryuunosuke which is why he stabbed himself to be able to stab the shadow.

2025-10-23 21:15:06 +0000 UTCThe dual personality is vague on purpose more will be explained. She stabbed herself because when the monster got on top of her the monster shadow naturally was casted on top of her own body meaning she can damage it
