The information on the corridor is exciting and scary all at the same time.
Very fitting of Castlevania, and it's quite telling where we will go from here.

I love that kind of trope! You've probably heard of the game Planescape Torment. It is set in the DnD universe, in a city at the crossroad between all the different planes of existence (the elemental planes, hell, the material world, etc etc). The Narnia book series also have a similar concept called the Woods between the Worlds. It's a forest with many ponds (you can guess what happens if you jump into one of them)
