At this point, I have seen 2.5 years of anime episodes that have the obligatory fight inner narrative and ascension of powers happening "real time"... at no point have we seen that genre of media in a symphonic concert band setting... until today. Fucking epic LMAO
This episode will make me laugh for a long time. Excellent.

2025-07-10 18:45:31 +0000 UTCWe've heard that piece Takarajima before in Sound Euphonium S2 EP 7 when the band played it in front of Kyoto Station. Very fun going back to hear that arrangement after having it appear in this episode. It's a really famous song in Japan, originally by T-Square, which helps explain why she knew the melody already for guitar. This anime is just a ton of fun, really taking advantage of the medium to make musical performances just as hype as any crazy fight scene. My band instructor would have thrown a chair at the rhythm section if they tried to hijack his band haha
