Well if where talking about sports anime theirs quite the variety Volleyball- Haikyuu Baseball- Diamond no ace Soccer- aoashi/ blue lock Boxing- Hajime no ippo (megalo box is more cyberpunk and allot shorter) Cycling- yawamushi pedal I'll stop there, those are the most popular ones, the only thing is that most sports anime are long 100 ep plus long. Would be really cool to see what your thoughts are on some of them. Ps. just thought about this one eye shield 21 is an American football one.

Square Block

Haikyuu is an amazing show!(it’s sports)

Jordon Somers

the fact not a single person mentioned blue lock is lowkey astounding to me

Llemon

Hey Tony ! I'm glad you noticed the two ost. Especially the first one, I listen to it everytime, you can find them easily on youtube : Ikki Ichiyu δΈ€ε–œδΈ€ζ†‚ : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFg32VEhPxs nakuhodo 泣くほど : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HvmM6_Ya80

If you're ever gonna do sports anime, watch Hajime no Ippo. It's about boxing, has tons of comedy etc. You'll like it for sure.

Armchair

The only sports anime I’ve ever enjoyed was Megalobox which is boxing with exo Skeltons But I’m not a sports guy so not my genre for sure

Avalon

Not sure if it would be his style but what an absolutely goated anime.

Aritome

Since sports anime are flooding the comments here, I’ll throw in Birdie Wing as a recommendation. The golf mafia is pretty crazy πŸ˜‚

An amazing volleyball anime is Haikyuu. Legitimately one of the best of all time for sports anime. Highly recommend however it is quite long with 4 seasons and a movie

V STAN

Kuroko no Basket is great as well as Haikyuu. Those 2 I'd recommend if you wanted to watch a sports anime. But yeah Lover is War is great it's amazing to me.

Drow1270

I'm addition to anime other folks have already mentioned, I also enjoyed Kuroko's Basketball, Aoashi (soccer), Ahiru no Sora (basketball), All Out! (rugby), and Burning Kabbadi.

Wait Tony loves Volleyball and wants a Sports anime on the Patreon??? That literally sounds like it would follow up with marketing about Haikyuu. We NEED that on the Patreon, it is in a lot of people's opinions one of the best sports anime to ever exist. Hajime no Ippo (older boxing anime) remains the goat tho for just how much it put sports anime on the map. I'd go for Haikyuu first and then get some Hajime in when we can.

Shocked you noticed the girl behind the tree cause I didn’t catch that until my third rewatch with my friends. No joke it’s set up for something way later on.

Barrage of sports anime recommendation coming in the comments

P_ateric

Haikyu (volleyball) and Chihayafuru (obscure Japanese card game) are top of the list for sports anime. They are super long though with multiple 25 episode seasons

Sakeef Salman

Ping pong is a masterpiece. Doesn't overstay its welcome either

JoeyGuy7

I did not expect us to be at the volleyball episode already LMAO Also in terms of sports anime, Run With The Wind is one of the best anime about long distance running, takes place in college too so not a lot of immature child characters present. (Also not too long too, 24 episodes total and complete) Hajime No Ippo is also a top notch boxing series, one of the best sports anime ever in my opinion, with great fights and drama

Alejandro Pupo

Yikes, now the imagery of that is going to make me like them less 😭

QwertyInfinite

I would nominate Ping Pong the Animation and Chihayafuru for sports anime

Auks

No injury but fear of like my knees going backwards πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ€£πŸ€£

DrumRollTony

I’ve never heard of someone that hates trampolines, did you get injured on one of them or something?

QwertyInfinite

yeah, massive throwback

DrumRollTony

Oh so that game is called Paper Boy!

Chrome

As a former ska kid, I perk up so much whenever the ska track comes in every few episodes. Japan actually has (had?) a big ska scene
