Non spoiler, So basically the releasing order of the anime should be stein gate-> ova -> movie -> stein gate 0 -> 0 ova . 23B I'm not sure when it was released.

2025-03-25 23:32:57 +0000 UTCSG0 is of course not strictly necessary because SG by itself is a complete story, but that doesnt make SG0 "worse" per se, its just different. SG0 is a beautiful story in its own right and it has some incredibly rewarding "aha!" moments that tie back to the original. Also, it was a bit quiet but that soundtrack at ~21:40 is called "messenger" and it's the main theme of SG0, it's a great piece and you'll be hearing more of it throughout the show.

But yeah it's not necessarily that the season is just worse, but more that the tone is much much different and the pace is slower throughout(the pace is more like ep 1-12 of s1). Over it's still SG, just another timeline. 0 does have some of the best moment in SG imo.
