It's not high stakes, like people's lives aren't at risk or anything, but it's the best video game-based anime I've seen in a long while. Like it's fully dedicated to the video game aspect, and right at this moment the MC is in an esports tournament. It's hype!

2025-03-21 20:11:46 +0000 UTCHmm, the only one I can think of myself is the Sword Art Online spin off, SAO Alternative: Gun Gale Online. About an insecure teen girl who enters a VR FPS tournament. SAO franchise has its up and downs but this spin off I think was good and fun to watch.
