I think while the chorus is ok, it comes off as a bit more generic and the beginning is just way too gutteral sounding with the vocals. The first song was rock enough for a majority of people while this song has a bit more niche moments if that makes sense.

2025-02-01 05:45:48 +0000 UTCNot just relative to the first opening but relative to all the anime openings I'm familiar with, I just don't think this intro song turned out that well. It's fine but never one I would intentionally look up to hear again. Each individual sequence I find either ok or enjoyable but the transitions seem really jarring to me and makes the opening as a whole not that appealing.

Having seen a few episodes of OPM S2 now, I can tell the animation is not on the same level but it's not THAT noticeable. The show is still great and it really didn't deserve the backlash it got.
