But as just a turn your brain off entertaining action show with cool concepts it's a fun time still

2025-01-09 01:55:43 +0000 UTCI enjoyed the manwha for a while (probably season 3 or 4 territory) but after a while I think I just discovered that, as a personal thing, I just don’t enjoy plots that revolve around people getting more powerful to progress the story. Purely a me thing, but granular ground level story telling is more for me

2025-01-07 04:36:14 +0000 UTCI said it on the youtube reaction and I'll say it again, the man doing vocals just sounds like Aqua's Barbie Girl just doing deep voice talking over the track. It's all I hear when he comes in. Also as far as the show itself I don't see any reason to discredit it. I have seen lots of anime, many that have fantasy game elements like this, and I think it does a great job of standing out on it's own. It's tackling the most important things well, which is making you believe that everything happening is following the rules of the world it exists in. If it all feels super arbitrary and conveniently changes the rules as it goes it feels cheap but it's doing a great job so far.

It doesnt touch me on an emotional level like some of my favorite animes, but i look forward to every single new episode, its always the anime highlight of the week. And it even motivates me to workout. I only wish Id get those daily quest rewards from it.

2025-01-06 22:17:20 +0000 UTCI really dont think that theres many people that dislike SL (it did just break the Crunchyroll record for fastest episode to reach 100k likes) I think its more like many were disapointed that it didnt reach the hype that they were expecting from the manhwa readers , which is only becasue s1 was purely just a introductory season
