I'm not sure if you caught it, but the letter that saitama got thanking him was from mumen rider. Mumen rider mentions it when they are eating together at the end

And a large part of that has to due with a certain character in the show that will be introduced shortly. It will become more clear why that is the case when that particular character gets more screen time in the next season.
