In this episode, a lot was cut compared to the light novel. I'll try to summarize it briefly. Scenes of the trip and the city were skipped. In the extended scene, Priscilla is given more depth as a character. IMPORTANT: For some reason, Roswaal told Rem not to stop Subaru, which Emilia didn’t mention. VERY IMPORTANT: In the light novel, Al (the guy in the helmet) is also Japanese, just like Subaru, and ended up in this world about 15 years ago. However, he landed in gladiator fights. Later on, Al will call Subaru his brother since they come from the same world

2024-12-07 15:39:54 +0000 UTCAs I mentioned before this is the start of new arc introducing new characters and new plot lines that will be taking the rest of this season. So its natural for these first few episode being a little underwhelming with all the talking and expositions but it will all pay off at the end as this is how the series normally progress during the beginning of each arc the first few episodes are usually slow before things hit the fan.
