In response to your comment about expecting Yellow to maybe block the hit to his face or dodge or something, while he did get hit the demon specifically says his injuries only ended up being minor (as in she tried to do more damage) and "even though he's blacked out, he went on the defensive." So his training did pay off to some extent, where as he did still eat it in his jaw and get blacked out, he managed to defensively react to the hit to mitigate it somewhat at least. Or maybe you caught that and just meant you still expected him to do better

2024-12-03 03:39:00 +0000 UTCThere is HUGE difference between "normal" demons and the Upper rank demons. You can't even compare them to each other. There are only 6 Upper Rank demon's, who are all centuries old. They have eaten countless people and killed all Demon Slayer who came after them. Even the Hashira, who are the strongest Demon Slayers, never killed a Upper Demon. To understand how serious it actually is: The Demon Slayer Corps was founded approximately a thousand years ago and never was Upper Rank defeated yet. In the Mugen Train Arc, we saw how hopeless the Flame Hashira was against Upper 3. Flame Hashira Rengoku himself was very strong himself, but he really got fucked up by Akaza. Daki ( Upper Six who got intruduced right now ), killed 6 Hashira. She is techically the "weakest" Upper Rank Demon because she is the lowest ranked. But even she was able to kill 6 Hashira, which shows how dangerous they all are. So Upper Rank means in DnD rules: Challenge Rating 25. Very Dangerous Boss. So Yellow Boy getting his ass kicked so easily, is actually very normal-

Anybody who has seen this before, at 18:50 when Daki is talking in the mirror…. I think she’s talking to (insert spoiler here, IYKYK) because she specifically references “you”, and at the end of the sentence the voice is familiar… if anyone feels the same just comment ditto

As while she is an upper moon she seems emotionally fragile almost like a child throwing tantrums. I believe there are slight hints to imply this later but just wanted to mention while it was fresh on the mind.

The themes make for a horribly cruel world, were it not balanced by the over the top fun and lightheartedness, and by not focusing on the darker aspects, it would be a very very different showing for sure.
