Your point on the whole DND Role stuffs reminded me with Overlord. Overlord is based on the writer's latest DND campaign he wrote for his friends. Unfortunately people grow up, his friends got married and have children. And The Writer didn't get the chance to play his campaign with his friends. So he pours all the world buildings and story into OVERLORD, which have one of the best world building in any anime.

2024-11-22 21:56:10 +0000 UTCSomething I love about Megumin (the mage) is that she's a chuuni character. Basically the same type of character that Okarin from Steins;Gate is. They both use a weird name, Okarin pretends he gets calls from an organization/Megumin uses a eye patch as a "seal", they make up some bullshit, etc. They basically both live in their own fantasy. But in Megumin's case her name is actually real, she actually lives in a fantasy world and is actually a mage, but even in this world standards she's seen as a desilusional person. If that's not comedy gold, idk what is.
