I said this earlier but I hope you consider watching Steins Gate Zero in dub first as well. It helps when understanding new story beats if you don't always have to read subtitles. P.S I got to the end where you said you enjoyed watching first in Japanese. LOL my statement still stands but I'm so glad you are enjoying this. Thank you very much

2024-11-07 00:52:08 +0000 UTCIt's a tradeoff as usual. Dub has its peak moments but sometimes it simply can't beat original japanese line. Like in the end of ep 17, when Feyris parodying Okabe's voice by making her own lower. It's sad that they played such a great moment differently in dub.

2024-11-07 00:37:29 +0000 UTCThe Steins;Gate Dub really does a great job in making Okabe’s characterisation clear but it also means we have to suffer through the cringe of the maid cat cafe in English and hear “meowsters” lmao (obviously it’s just as purposefully cringey in Japanese) 🤣

But it also needed for one more inportant thing which will come up later in rewatch. PS 18:09 - "He's making HER say that shit". Classic "Daga otoko da" trap. Never gets old.
