Well well well... some details have emerged

The Apothecary Diaries Ep 18

Comments

oh yeah that stare jumpscared the shit out of me when i first watched it lol

kinetic98

Ooh, one of my favourite episodes incoming next week. I'm hyped! This show is so good.

Baka

Song toward the end of the episode that you really enjoyed is called Angel’s Trumpet by Alisa Okehazama from the OST. I think you mentioned maybe near the start of the show about the idea doing a reaction to a selection of songs from a show - I feel like this OST would be a great option for trying that as there’s great variety, I think it’s like 70+ songs from three different composers (Satoru Kosaki Kevin Penkin & Alisa Okehazama)

Andrew Muggleton

I have now made it my lifes goal to sit under a marimba. Might get banned from a venue or two but i know itll be worth it lol

Magikarp

great, now i want to pay someone to play the marimba while i sit under it, another weird thing from the tony show. lol

Red Menace

oh i been waitin for this

Red Menace

Neat, another version of the word to learn, as is common with Japanese lol

Sarai

That death glare certainly sticks out as a memorable moment. Not surprising it became the thumbnail. "Very few men see a face like that and live." Not sure if you could have described it as more aptly than that, haha.

Jet Man

That's probably a good assumption

DrumRollTony

I just always assumed that Maomao knows everthing lol

Maggie

In addition, in the scene in question (and I believe in all previous scenes) she refers to her adoptive father as "oyaji", which can refer to one's father but it's like a fairly casual "pops" or "old man" (and like those can also refer to an unrelated older male). This was mild foreshadowing from the start that he wasn't her biological father.

Anorus

“Chichi”= “Dad” is used when you talk about your Dad to others; typically those who you’re not close with. “Otousan” is used when you speak to your Dad directly. The rocks she was spreading on the bed are GO game pieces.

Sarai

This anime has a high rewatch value with all the hidden details, possibly close to S;G. Having S;G in my top 3 that's saying a lot. Great reaction.

Loayza

This episode is the first time its explicitly stated that Lakan is her father. They've dropped hints in previous episodes though, like how they revealed that Luomen is an adoptive father, not her real one.

VoxellOT

when MaoMao mentioned ''he knows'' it was for the whereabouts of MaoMao. For some reason not known yet, she does not want to be associated with that person. She does know that he is her dad, but that was only revealed now to us viewers. you've heard parts of the OST at the very end, but not the parts you really liked from it, thats new to this episode.
