So his initial goodbye kind of accidentally implied that they had this adventure and now back to their separate lives, so she just went nah, I'll see you tomorrow.

A cool detail related to the sad Turbo Granny backstory somebody pointed out was that in Ep 1, she jumps through the phone onto the alien ship because she hears Momo cry out for help as she was about to get SA'd.
