Stereotypically they’re sexually loose non-conformists who are into pop music and partying. While the aesthetic is odd, what the culture represents is something I think we’re all familiar with.

It's fine tho still a killer opening. However this ending is absolutely goated. Probably needs more listenings to appreciate it even more but yeah its my favourite ending of this year so far.

The author of the manga was actually an assistant to the author of Chainsaw Man and both their anime’s even share Kensuke Ushio as the composer which is cool. Definitely look forward to the rest of the show it’s such a fun ride!

The OP is definitely inspired by the old opening sequences of the tokusatsu Ultraman franchise (to this day they still use the same style for their episode title cards). That said, I like the ED better and I have the full version on my playlist already✌️ As for the girl with the make up, apparently it’s inspired by a kind of girl they call a “Gyaru” ( a fashion subculture in JP. girls that really like make up and jewelry and are depicted usually in anime school settings. In schools they don’t allow that cuz of dress codes. However the Gyaru girl depicted here is a certain one called a “Yamanba”.) Edit: oh yeah, DanDaDan mangaka was an assistant for Chainsaw Man’s mangaka. They took a lot of experience with them is all I’m gonna say.
