Oshi No Ko S2 Ep 13

That bass clarinet that starts playing at 10:14 (your video time) sets the mood so perfectly

I'm gonna miss oshi no ko ost

"You wanna take it, but you dont wanna care about who make it" We are gross, disgusting, vulgar and shameless (โ•ฅ๏นโ•ฅ)

I don't think it means they'd have to be related to Aqua/Ruby, since Akane was able to get the star eyes in the first season as well as during the play in the 2nd season. I assume it's something to do with talent, or stardom, so that girl might just be in the showbiz as well.

On "The 15-Year Lie". The first episode of the first season adapted the first volume of the manga but omitted the first page of each chapter, which shows interviews with various characters (who are introduced in those chapters) from the future. I won't go into details because it might be considered slightly spoilerish, but I would recommend reading those pages or if you can read the whole volume (chapters 1-10).

I could be looking too deep into this, but with the music video, it seems like most of the solo singing parts from Memcho and Ruby have some sort of effect/autotune (Like Memcho suggested since they weren't very good at singing), but I believe all of Kana's parts have little to no vocal effects, since she has a very good voice. Also, just as the outro starts playing in the background, it seems like maybe Aqua or the Director is writing some sort of script/book or something about possibly Aqua's true life? Titled "The 15 Year Lie" It's definitely the computer in the director's room at least. So I'm looking forward to learning what that is hopefully next season.

With the star in her eyes, while it's possible for it to be one of Ai's Siblings, I think the star just means moreso that they're extremely talented. Himekawa said that his dad was ordinary and hated that so he got with talented women to hide that, maybe Aqua's dad just keeps finding talented women, giving them babies, and then killing them? Hell he's 2/2 so far with both Ai and Himekawa's mom, maybe this lady also has a child out there from him too. Also I swear this man has got to be almost 50 at this point, he needs to start taking meds and dieting, not pushing ppl off cliffs.

BlakStatik23

This season slaps (not a manga reader so idk how it compares to future stuff)

Sam

I thought the coolest part was how the sections with the crazy eyes were interspersed with parts with normal eyes since the video was edited together from footage across multiple days (before/after the body was discovered). Just a neat bit of detail continuity.

Anorus

There was.... it was so random and dude looks like Aqua so lol yea. I don't really care for those type of cliffhangers as they are so unrelated

DrumRollTony

I was confused as to why you were so shocked at the end, like, yeah, it's a murder scene from the father but we don't know anything about it yet, then I realized that you probably thought this was Akane and Aqua LOL. Yeah, that would be a crazy cliffhanger

Lixien

as a reader, the post credit scene being included caught me off guard. it shouldnโ€™t make sense so being confused is correct. no spoilers at all but its a self contained chapter (109). the only difference was the chapter reveals his name whereas this didnโ€™t. aside from that its safe to read without spoiling season 3 for anyone who wants to if youโ€™re really curious.

plug-in panda

You havenโ€™t done a video on the Ed yet You also only did a video on the short version of the opening and havenโ€™t listened to the full version yet. But yeah this season was awesome, probably my favourite couple of arcs from the manga (though the current stuff is very close behind) and a stellar production that enhanced the source material. Super excited for season 3!

AussieBoy

Funny you mentioned how the ED theme screams "1998" because the band (hitsujibungaku) actually has a song named "1999" and it totally sounds like its name. Would recommend checking it out or the band's other music if you liked the ED.

MAN itโ€™s gonna be hard not to start reading ahead in the manga. Iโ€™ve not been this on the edge of my seat in a while. My speculation as a non manga reader: So the ending was obviously the dad killing another entertainer. But I canโ€™t tell if the star eyes mean theyโ€™re related to Aqua and Ruby or not. SO MANY QUESTIONS

Haha! You did say "I'm not saying what I do is right" ๐Ÿ˜…

DrumRollTony

Iโ€™m not saying what I do is right, but I do buy the manga/blueray of shows I like, and I torrent/pirate new animeโ€™s Iโ€™m trying out. There is just simply too much frustration managing all the streaming platforms.

P_ateric

Now that you bring it up I def remember seeing it. Very cool fx

DrumRollTony

Extra note (Should be Spoiler free, if not, I can take it down): OnK S2 ended on Chapter 80 of the manga. The post credit scenes takes place somewhere in Chapter 109, thus you're basically missing like 29 Chapters of context so don't worry or think too much into it. Season 3 been announce so thats gonna be cool.

HgAlice

ED visuals have also changed which is a cool niche detail

skrrt

I'm surprised you didn't mention anything about Ruby's crying face and dark eyes while she is singing in their music video. It gives such a massive amount of whiplash when it randomly shows up.

Jc

Great finale, closing some doors and opening others for the continuation in season 3. Can't wait!

Eli L.

They should have given the girl at the end green hair or smth ๐Ÿ˜‚ itโ€™s just there as a cliffhanger/teaser for the next season. Thank god it got confirmed the day the episode released lol

Chelly

There is no video on Oshi no Ko's second ending on your YouTube channel. I think you had mentioned last week you had planned to do it soon, but maybe I am misremembering.

Jet Man

I can't wait for season 3. Got so many questions!

Xoulium

Yeah this scene happened a bit later in the manga so I was surprised when they showed it here without the context lol.

Steven Tran

The character that you see at the end is the same character you see at the end of episode 11. The girl who died is just a random person from the entertainment industry.

Belac

One of the reason why Aqua choose Akane rather than Kana is mentioned in episode 12. Because Kana is an idol, there is nothing good happens with boys around. He even overlapped Ai's dead body(his worst trauma) with Kana last episode... So this is not a spoiler, but easy to miss. This fact will affect Aqua, Akane, Kana's relationship in season 3, so if you are interested in those 3 people's relationship, it is good to remember. Also, this will be emphasized several more time in season 3.

์„ํ™” ๊น€

Ok thank christ bc I was heated! ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

DrumRollTony

I think you're misinterpreting who the characters are in that final scene, which to be fair is easy to do considering how this scene was implemented, but it isn't Aqua and Akane (flashback to the end of ep11 and it'll make slightly more sense, though I wont spoil context obviously)

Danyul

Ok what did you understand from that 8 second thing at the end ? because you might've had a biiig misundersstanding, yet I'm not sure if clearing it for you would feel like a spoiler

Martin Lamaze

Itโ€™s real dude. Really real xD Iโ€™ll be honest though that was an unexpected place to put that scene. It was shown outta context so now everyone is going crazy xD
