Somehow one of the most jump the shark moments of the show is this lady having god level photographic memory even in a world full of alchemy

To me it seemed to be the way the show tried to remind us that even with everything going on both Edward and Alphonse are still just kids. Besides, it worked to break up some of the pretty heavy moments for me so it wasn't all doom and gloom only. I find it kind of cute myself

2024-06-20 18:07:38 +0000 UTChonestly, the cheese factor is partially just because 1. thats the era a lot of the anime around the time did similar stuff and 2. the tone of show does shift over time and is actually intentional for storytelling purposes as you literally watch the Elric brothers grow up on this long journey.
