2024-05-19 13:35:27 +0000 UTCI had a phase where sakuzyo and this genre (chaotic rhythm game stuff) was all I listened to. Although, this piece is much much more tame compared to most of their other stuff, and rhythm game songs in general. definitely an opposite spectrum from things that I usually listen to being that it's mostly digital, heavy on strings and piano, and rarely has any definitive bass/basslines.

2024-05-19 03:57:38 +0000 UTCThis brought back memories, I loved playing Deemo and other similar rhythm games in high school. It's a cool genre because as you play through the game you find tracks from artists you might not normally find on your own.

2024-05-18 10:13:08 +0000 UTCI first heard this from a rhythm game called Deemo (not sure if it's from something before that), which is focused on piano heavy tracks. This one is definitely one of the more popular fantastical tracks that has made it into other rhythm games like osu and other community based games. Modern rhythm games also have calibration or manual offset you can set to make sure you're lined up to the rhythm. Some audio systems have a bit of lag time between video and there's peripheral input lag as well.
