lol wait until you see Vanilla Ice's stand name. And i love the intense music when Vanilla Ice attacks. btw, David Production is incredible with sound design as seen with stand sound effects, you'll probably enjoy Fire Force's sound effects as well if you enjoyed JoJo's sound design so far.

Like you been to Italy, so you probably notice that when people speak to an American, they sometimes will translate what was said for the flavor for a non Italian to understand. When translators say " It's like saying ___ in English". Then we get it.

As he is from Egypt, I'm guessing it's a name of Arabic origins and there likely is no one "correct" way to spell it in English. Just as how the Chinese surnames "Lee" and "Li" are one and the same in Chinese, but are spelled differently in English due to people using different anglicization rules when translating their name.

2024-04-26 21:38:12 +0000 UTCavdol was originally abdul, it has to do with the japanese pronunciation that the streaming services got avdol, but in japanese and other asian languages v and b are pronounced similarly and the name abdul is just kind of a generic middle eastern name. but yea on services like crunchyroll they call vanilla ice cool ice lmao

2024-04-26 21:36:07 +0000 UTCI know alot of character/stand names in jojo are based of real life songs and musicians so some of the translations like to change the subtitles to something different so they dont get in trouble, like I bet the last service you used wouldn't have the subtitles say vanilla ice, but idk why avdol would be different
