About how I expected it would go over, no butthurt here! The vocal intonation is purposeful, Kyary is ~always~ out of tune. In interviews, she says Nakata told her to stop trying to sing in tune and just sing like a kid. It's supposed to evoke innocence. You are not the odd man out! I've had my cherry popped over 10 years ago, so it just doesn't bother me anymore. The first time I listened I had the exact same reaction as you and could not stand the vocals. But the songs you grow to like never stick at first, and it's ultimately Yasutaka Nakata's melodies and production that suck me back in, not the flawed vocals. The visuals and Kyary's personality/style are a big draw for the popularity too. I'll probably throw one more Nakata project at you just for exposure. :) Thanks for the reaction!
