Hello, hello! I’ve been having trouble with sleep lately, not because of anything in particular, just my stubborn ass wanting to pack as much shit as I can in a day and going to bed obscenely late as a consequence. And do I just get to bed and sleep? Of course not! Bed is reading/documentary time! So I find myself waking up tired, working at half-energy, which makes everything just take longer to get done, and then going to bed late again and repeating the cycle. It’s annoying, they should just make an implant for the brain, you just program a time and your body just shuts down when you get to it, no excuses! Would honestly change my life, until someone hacks it and messes with my shit ofc.
Banshee was very sick (or perhaps cursed, as she believes) this past week, so her work schedule was all over the place. Still, she managed to get some stuff done and she's basically finished with Yda's scene! Hope you all like tentacles, cause there's A LOT of them in this one.

Vane wrote a part of a future battle, more specifically a duel between Eleanor and one of the lieutenants… Slaves? One of her high ranking slaves. While this scene is not going to make it to the next release, Vane felt that it was a good idea to get it out of the way as he had the entire scene done in his head and it was taking brain space away from other ideas he still needed to have. He keeps repeating and refining ideas in his brain up to the point where he pours it all out on the paper, then it’s out of his system and he can focus on other things. A bit inefficient since inspiration can hit him out of order, but that’s just like the man is wired, so give him a break.
Other than that, Vane decided to not complicate himself for the next release. His usual style of writing as much as possible and then figuring out how the hell he was going to edit and implement all those scenes in the last two days before the release caused him to accumulate a lot of stress which burned him out long before the year was over, so he’s keen to not repeat the mistake this year! So he took time last week to edit and implement everything he wrote in the first week, now he can write more knowing that he will not have as many things to implement just before the release!

You might also be saying to yourself — “Well, Vane’s just dumb! He should just edit and implement the scenes right after he finishes writing them! That way he would never run into trouble.” — And you’re right, ofc. However, Vane is a silly old man, he likes to wait for about five days at a minimum after he writes something before going for a second draft. That way he can mostly forget what he wrote and disassociate from the fact that it’s his work. That allows him to approach the text as if he was a reader which improves the quality of the second draft, or so he claims. Does that make a difference? Idk! But Vane certainly seems to think it does.

Finally, we'd like to thank you all for continuing to support us and our work! Sometimes it's quite wild to think that so many amazing people have our backs like this, and we are incredibly grateful to you! <3

And that about wraps it up for today. We hope you all have a fantastic week, and we’ll see you all this Friday for the first Rise of the White Flower release of 2024! Until then,
Big love, the Necro Bunny team!!!
