Hello, hello! Time for an almost-but-not-quite-late dev blog!!!
Banshee had a bit of a rough week, as she spent most of it very sick, and she sadly couldn't work nearly as much as she would have liked. But still, she finished the last details on the latest scene with Amelie, made the expressions needed for the new quest, and started working on the design for the... BBEG?! Oh my!
Vane busied himself with the usual post-release tasks and continued to write the newest of Catherine’s adventures! She and her gang went to Valante in order to check how things are going, and well… Let’s just say Rise of the White Flower is getting its first large-scale battle! Well, it’s not that large of a scale but it’s certainly a leg up from the usual. Perhaps more importantly, we’re going to be adding a new bad end (sorta)! So make your decisions carefully!

Now that we are nearing the final act of the story, Banshee and Vane have been talking a lot about how to handle closing all the loose ends and completing all the characters' arcs. They’re thinking about finishing the main story and then just continuing to add events that would technically happen before the final battle, confusing, I know. But what that would allow them to do is focus completely on one character for a few weeks, or months depending on how big/underdeveloped their routes are, at a time, then after finishing one character they could move on to the next and so on.
Of course, things would be rebalanced, so that in the final version of the game you would have all these scenes before the final battle and the epilogue for each character after, so it wouldn’t be weird in the final version. Anyway, this is all still speculation. We still have quite a few more chapters to go, so we could change our minds as the final events continue to unfold, but do let us know what you think of that idea!!
