Planned Features for Chapter 7

Hello, hello! Now that Chapter 6 is behind us, it is time to look towards the next chapter of Catherine’s adventures! I’ll try to briefly summarize all that we have planned, and I’ll try to keep spoilers to an absolute minimum but if you are allergic to them, you have been warned!

First and foremost we want to communicate a few changes to our structure of releases. We work at a frantic pace having to release a new build every two weeks. It gives us very little wiggle room for when things go wrong, and it forces us to just push through even when we know that what we’re doing is not coming out that good. To combat that, we have been experimenting with three weeks between releases. This way, when everything goes right you will have more content on a release. And when things go wrong, we won’t have to pull a bunch of all-nighters in a row to get everything done in time (hopefully). It also allows us to spend a little more time to experiment, and to work on different things when we’re lacking the inspiration to continue a scene or a CG, which should boost the overall quality of the content we’re making.

Of course, one big problem with this system is that it will reduce the speed with which we can put out chapters, we believe that the increase in quality is more than worth it though (but do let us know if you disagree). We want to be fair to our patrons and keep updates coming out to all of you, and not only to those in the higher tiers. To do this, we intend to do two $5 tier releases per chapter, one at the halfway point and another one when the chapter is released. This way we can relax a little bit while keeping plenty of content coming for everyone!

Now onto the actual content. We’re once again aiming for five sex scenes. Since we might have a little more time than usual due to the three-week structure, we might be able to get at least one more bringing the total to six sex scenes for this chapter, but that is far from being guaranteed.

As for who is getting the sex scenes. First on the list are the characters that were introduced in the latest chapters and already had some time to be developed. Namely Marius, Kerrek, and Jeanne. As for the other scenes, we’re pretty open about them still, so we’re probably going to have a poll very soon to decide on them!

Finally, Chapter 7 will see the much-promised tavern system finally getting implemented. I know, I know, it’s not the first time you heard that. But this time for sure! Other than that we’re also adding modularity to the sheet’s screen as requested. So now the sheets of the characters will change according to what happens in the story. On top of that, we’re also adding the relationship screen. There you will be able to see the status of your relationship with all the characters. It’s nothing too special, just some quality of life to help with multiple saves.

Time for spoilers! I’ll be brief and a little vague. But Chapter 7 will be, for the most part, a relaxing update. Catherine will focus on her tavern, and get lots of time to talk to all the cast, including some characters that have been left on the sidelines. But of course, that doesn’t mean it won’t be without dangers and plot development. Catherine still has many enemies and they are still plotting to take her down. Also, strange developments in the north will come to the attention of our heroes. Signs of dangers to come perhaps?

But I think that is about it! One last thing, know that many of you will be against it, but we’re having at least two new characters join the cast in Chapter 7. Now, will they be romanceable characters? Probably not. Will they be fuckable at some point? Probably yes. We know the game already has too many characters, but rest assured that these characters are really needed to drive the story forwards towards the endgame. We’re over our uncontrollable urge to make new cool characters… Maybe…
