πŸ“™ SCRIPT PLAYER GUIDE (PLAYLIST MANAGEMENT) #2πŸ“™

Welcome to this guide designed for beginners which will help you manage your playlists on Script Player. This guide is especially useful for users of my Bounty Hunter concept. There is nothing very complicated in this guide but if it can help some people you might as well do it. On that note, let's get started.

1. OPEN THE PLAYLIST IN A NEW WINDOW (OPTIONAL)

Click on the playlist icon.

This should open the window below for you.

This is very useful if you have multiple monitors because you can manage your playlists or jump from one video to another at any time while you watch the video in full screen on your main monitor. This will be very useful when I add new types of content to the Bounty Hunter game, such as intersections or choices that will ask you to jump to certain videos.

2. IMPORT YOUR VIDEOS

Let's start by importing our videos, you can either import the videos individually or import the entire folder. For the example I will import my Bounty Hunter 2.0 archive folder. You can also choose to favorite certain folders, but I'll let you discover that for yourself.

Once your folder is imported, you should see your videos appear in your playlist.

You have two style modes.

LIST :

TILES :

By default the view is on "list" but you can switch it to "Tiles" if you prefer. This will give you a preview of the video (we see how to do this in the section below).

3. GENERATE HEATMAP AND PREVIEW (OPTIONAL)

You can generate a heatmap as well as a preview in order to find the videos in your playlist more easily. In addition, the heatmap can be useful if you want to sort your videos by taking into account their average speed or their difficulty.

Select the videos you want to generate heatmaps and previews. In my case I will select all the videos in my playlist.

Once the videos are selected you can generate the heatmaps and previews of your videos.

For the preview you can choose some options for creating the gif.

I recommend choosing the "Single Selection" option, this generates a preview more quickly, very useful if you have a lot of videos in your playlist. Feel free to test for yourself the settings that suit you best.

This will open a new window for you, you just have to wait for the heatmaps to be generated.

Once the generation is complete, it should give you something like this if you generated the heatmap and the preview.

LIST :

TILES :

The previews and heatmap files are stored in the selected video folder. You can delete them if you want to re-generate your previews.

4. CHANGE THE ORDER OF VIDEOS

Okay, now that we have all our videos in our playlist, we just need to choose the order in which we want to play them.

For that it's very simple. Select a video and click on one of the arrows circled in red in the screen below. One allows you to move your video up one notch in the playlist while the other makes it go down.

The other two arrows allow you to move the selected video either to the first or last position in your playlist.

5. RANDOMIZE YOUR RUN

You can also randomly sort the videos in your playlist. To do this, it is also very simple, just do as shown in the image below.

BEFORE :

AFTER :

6. SAVE AND LOAD YOUR PLAYLISTS

Want to save a playlist or load another one? It's easy.

You just have to select a folder in which to store your playlists and you can load them at any time.

7. CLEAR YOUR PLAYLIST

Do you want to rebuild a playlist from 0 and delete all current videos? That's also very easy.

HOP :

8. TO FINISH

You just have to launch the first video and all the videos will launch in the order you have chosen when a video reaches the end and this in a completely automatic way.

In a while there will be new types of videos that will bring choices and intersections, I will make an additional guide to show you how to add them to your playlist and how to use them correctly.

I hope this guide will be useful to some people.

Thank you for your support.
