Previously, Irene had possessed Erza and used to her daughter's body to fuse with a corrupted Juvia, thus creating a beautiful and equally powerful vessel for herself. After that, she had set her eyes on the corrupted Lisanna. Though her had previously deemed Lisanna to be too weak and insignificant to become a part of her, she nevertheless still had a plan for the little white witch. Irene infused Lisanna with a small portion of Erza and Juliva's magic as well as her own then enchanted her own personality into Lisanna, causing Lisanna to not only surge in power but also to became even more corrupted than ever. Using her greatly enhanced power, Lisanna began to use her Take Over magic to modify her body multiple times. First with Animal Soul: Cat to give herself sharp claws, then Harpy to give herself feathered wings, and finally Snake to give herself thick layer of scales. In the end, Lisanna had transformed into something akin to a gorgeous Chimera. With her combat capability greatly enhanced, Irene decided to keep her as a bodyguard while she searches for new targets.

Meanwhile, Wendy had finally found Lucy and was able to undo the corruption put on her by Irene. With one of her friends returned to normal, the two of them decided to return to the guild to warn everyone about Irene and to prepare for a counterattack.

Little did they knew that Irene was always one step ahead of them.
