We’re still enjoying early-era Running Man, this time at the Korea Meteorological Administration, with guests Kim Heechul (Super Junior) and Lizzy (After School). Expect weather-centre missions, sprints through corridors, and classic RM antics as the cast and guests scrap for advantages and try to avoid the end-of-episode penalty.

Rewatching these and adding comments I thought of at the time. The lore for Heechul coming on this show is that Running Man was not a guarenteed success at the time - it had huge stars like Jaesuk and jongkook and HaHa etc but a lot of newbies and was also a slightly different concept. They didnt tell us this till years later but it was actually struggling with ratings. Heechul publicly criticised the show as being 'childish' (im sure he didnt mean to, just speaking his mind as SJ were want to do). Jihyo sent him an angry message because she was hurt and it could affect the show lol and so theres a bit of background to why he felt expectation to perform on the show lol

Yoo Jaesuk and Kang Ho Dong hosted it together on SBS TV channel. After the end of Xman, SBS tried new variety shows on their prime time time slot.... They always kept Jaesuk as Main Host (Family Outing and then Running Man). The rival TV Channel KBS hired Kang Ho Dong as Main Host for 1 night 2 days. Also, Na PD that You know from Game Caterers was the PD for 1 night 2 days and worked together with Ho Dong to fight ratings with SBS Running Man. FUN FACT 2: the popular talented variety members of Xman were cut in half, some stayed with Jaesuk (Haha, KJK, Park Myung Soo) called "YOO LINE" (meaning something like "Yoo's team) and some stayed with Ho Dong (Lee Seung Gi, Kim Jongmin) called KANG LINE (meaning "Kang's team). This is why the question "You think you are better than Kang Ho Dong ?" during the Lie Detector Game carries so much weight and is so insane, especially for Korean Audience. hahahahha btw, i still have my archive of old shows including my Xman clips so you could react even to some Xman clips, but yea i would also love to push more underdog smaller kpop group clips reaction so yeahhhh no shortage for great reaction clips, but you have enough stuff right now anyway, i guess. Just the 2 of them and they're amazing. It's a highlight for Jihyo which I believe you'd love to see. And yes, Yu Jaeseok is a very good person. A man of honor. And he's witty ans hardworking. I admire him.
