This episode focused on Boys 2 Planet-C, showcasing 80 talented contestants. This episode was the first start where Planet-K and Planet-C merged and started the first mission. We saw all the 10 teams select their first mission song (WHIPLASH!!!!) and we started to see them practice. We also did see the performances for S-Class and one of the two performances from Plot Twist. I am so excited!

2025-08-14 06:25:16 +0000 UTCnaur cause I feel bad for Xin Long here I get that wanting to perform S-Class was selfish and he did not push that but the guys who picked them pushing them to perform Plot Twist even if half of the team disagree was a selfish. But I'm glad they did very great and still prove how flexible they can be as all stars candidates

I think they stick opposing teams in the same practice room to increase the chance of drama. One team feeling pressured watching the other team practice etc. but also, it’s probably easier to edit when they have the same music in the background. For stray kids, the first team that went, I feel like they basically sacrificed Hanwen because no one else wanted to even try the main vocal part. It almost seemed like the mindset was, "as long as the rest of us do well, we can win". Minjae I do think would’ve been able to handle it better but I think he wanted the killing part which is why he didn’t take the main vocal part himself as well. The other cute boy, Yunseo’s friend, is on the other whiplash team. He’s the “manly 15 year old” the captions said when he was basically forced to pick Whiplash The rest of the performances are in the next episode. And something to keep in mind, Mnet LOVES to create drama in behind the scenes practices. We’re only getting to see snippets of what was probably a week or two of rehersals so the producers can freely clip around footage to create their own narratives or exaggerate situations. Also remember, we’re dealing with a bunch of stressed out sleep deprived teenage/early 20s boys, they’re going to have rough days, fight, say things they shouldn’t or act unfavorably, etc. And the producers love to take those moments, zoom in on faces, put on intense background music, and cut out bits and pieces of footage to make like a 5 minute argument in to the biggest crisis of their lives. So don’t take things too seriously. Also the reason why a lot of guys lose confidence is likely because they’re surrounded by so many guys who are just as skilled or more than they are and sometimes the mentor's words aren't the kindest. Anyways thanks for reacting to this show. I do enjoy watching it alongside you.
