The Storyboard 018

The file is ATTACHED because its content may be considered mature. Dogmen universe. One I haven't touched on much because I hadn't settled on a look that would be appropriate for the setting. It took me two days to settle on something I could work from. If you've seen anything I've drawn FOR this universe you might know it has a horror focus. Yet I'm still absurdly interested in how characters deal with and rely on each other in those kinds of crises. I do have a lot to say on the nature of dark thoughts, though I don't know if I should get into it; suffice to say, I think exploring darkness is necessary. Not for its own sake, but because digging in and facing terrible things helps us think more clearly about them later. It's not for everyone. But it's worth dipping your toes into. Also if you've seen any previous pictures of Arthur, he's been vastly redesigned, as his old design was basically a precursor to Charli, who I ended up drawing more, so she owns that look now.

I like the idea. Not everything has to have a happy ending. I've always been a big fan of good horror settings as well.

Honestly, it looks good. I'm pretty hard to break, so I'm not worried about it being too bad, so I look forward to seeing more sometime. And if you manage to break me, bonus points for you. ~.^

I'll keep an open mind and see where this goes, Rick. Spencer looks as if he's in the middle of an emotional train wreck. You definitely rolled a lot of emotion into that character.

Oh I know, I just feel like I need to preface that because a lot of peoples' only experience with "actual horror" are movies, and slashers rarely get into more-than-superficial drama, tragedy and psychology. Though I think The Walking Dead has begun to turn that around a bit . . .

Rick Griffin

Wow, that is tremendously expressive. Also, it's not absurd to be interested in how people react to each other in horror situations. That's the point!

Lemurvid

Wow Rick, after that introduction I was expecting something... much much worse. I was pleasantly surprised!
