I quite like these two drawings so guessing it's better to share. You can download them from attachment. Unfortunately, they still belong to the "good drawings but not suitable for rendering". But why?
上面是兩張我個人還算喜歡的線稿(或說黑白稿),可以從附件下載沒被P專亂壓縮的版本。不幸地這兩張圖仍然被我歸類在「無法覆蓋上灰階」的稿子,原因為何?

Those are all the rendering attempts. It's not hard to see the A~D has obvious anatomy and perspective issues. And while the E~I seems at least acceptable about said issues, the drawing itself is overly complicated and doesn't cope well with those values. You can see the values are flat, unorganized and look like a rilievo.
這些是,呃,所有失敗的灰階處理結果。從A到D可以明顯看出最初版本的線稿本身已經有很多比例和透視的問題。而E至I雖然比較沒有這類問題,但另一個問題是、線稿本身已經太過複雜,導致灰度很難「黏上去」,於是不管怎麼處理、灰度層次都還是顯得很平,讓畫面變得像浮雕一般。

For past decades I preferred to deal with complicated drawings, but still want to learn painting (or at least, rendering) because I wish my characters to look more believable. C attempt is the point I decide to let go of my old habit and embrace a new world. (There is a poll for you to choose which one should I continue to finish! Their votes are still quite even!)
過去我比較偏向專門處理線條或輪廓,而一直忽略灰度和立體度的重要性。雖說對一個插畫繪者來說、學習處理灰度並不是必須的,但我一直想讓自己描繪的角色看起來更具有重量感和可信度。而上方的C嘗試可以算是決心把舊習慣戒掉、重頭學起的一個開端。(是說我辦了個票選活動讓各位選擇要採用哪個構圖繼續完稿,目前雙方票數很接近!)
By starting with values I can get a better composition/values/perspective so much faster. Now I'm on the trial of not getting lost in the latter process, and this painting will be finished in April.
直接使用灰度開始打稿,可以更快發現並解決構圖/灰度/透視等問題,不用等到整張畫已經充滿細節了才在那邊頭痛該怎麼修正。目前正等著繼續完成C嘗試,沒意外的話四月內會完成,希望不會又搞砸之後的步驟...我差不多可以被封為試錯大王了(攏汗)
BTW I'm taking another 2 days off to uh...finish playing DMCV or I'll get spoilers very soon *ahem* Have been asked several times and I guess ppl are waiting for me to do some DMCV fan art. I really need to finish that game first before opening livestream again. 😅
又話說本來想在明早就開工,但三月裡一直被人問我對DMCV有啥感想然後好像開始有人在等我畫它的fan art了...我個人非常不想被劇透所以...感覺還是應該趕快撥兩天來速速通關(毆)所以接下來的實況排程...不好意思請再稍等我幾天...!
