Concept - Proteus, Frost, Leviathan

Now I'll name this project "Proteus", which is also the name of a leading role being mentioned since the previous post. Maybe I'll come up with other better title throughout the process. Hmmmmmm :/

# Proteus - Traveler outfit
Let's pretend his thick legs can fit into those tight jeans. I'd like to give him a casual & fluent sense when he can choose what to wear. TBH I need to build a more concrete world first...(I'm also working on it) so those outfits are just for me to test out some directions. For now, all of these seem too fabulous. *cough*

# Frost - Initial concept & lab outfit concept
Another main character introduced: "Frost". Her job is to keep Proteus 'safe' and study his behavior. Except for Viper and Proteus, I don't have clear thoughts about the appearance of any other characters, so I just randomly matched different ideas and a petite, strong, gloomy, Asian female became my favorite result. She always seems unhappy for whatever reason. Also, you can see a female face of Proteus. I don't have any reason why this is needed, just a result of me randomly exploring. :P

# Leviathan - initial concept & more concept
Or nickname "The Whale". Yes, some monster concepts no one is expecting to see. Leviathan is a very big and mysterious sea creature. I want to make it look like an alien version whale, gross but also elegant and majestic. I'm trying my best to avoid creating something totally like Cthulhu. LOL

# Extra - the World of Proteus:
The world of Proteus is an alternate universe which has similar history and technology of ours but then divided by a devastating war between human and AI in about the year 2100. The main story begins about 100-200 yrs later from the war. So it has post-apocalyptic and sci-fi themes.

Well, it may sound like a big topic. But I'll just make the main story simple. I'm a fan of Japanese mangas that use fewer texts in each panel/page but still are capable to deliver engaging stories. Doesn't mean I'm good at it, but it is always one of my goals. :D

After all, the reason I create this project is to represent fantasies inspired by my OTP. And I found the inspiration itself is more like a story about a mediocre man's unstoppable obsession (Credo's anxiety of transforming to something else that he doesn't fully understand) towards unknown entities (Dante). But this time I'm not going to make it a moral story resulting in an inevitable tragedy. I want it to be realistic, dark, vague and maybe a little bit of goofy. (Maybe a lot, I'm enthusiastic over memes and lame jokes)

因為沒啥其他好方案，我目前決定把這個原創計畫命名為「Proteus(海神)」，也是本作主要角色之一的名字。可能構思到後來會有更好的名字啦但總不能一直不知道怎麼稱呼它。

# 普羅提烏斯 - 旅行者穿著
普羅提烏斯粗壯的大腿穿上牛仔褲之後會變苗條。(唬爛的)一開始本來採用「普羅透斯」這個譯法，後來覺得「普羅提烏斯」聽起來更炫。(一點都不重要)我的時尚sense始終很不怎樣啦但是意思有到就好...！總之他的穿著風格比較隨性，然後最好有個什麼東西能順著風飄來飄去。我可能需要更明確的世界觀才能更具體地構想角色穿著，目前這些造型感覺有點太花俏。

# 弗洛斯特 - 初步構想 & 研究室穿著構想
新的主要角色之一「弗洛斯特」。她的工作是保護(?)普羅提烏斯，還有研究其行為。其實我對於除了毒蛇和普羅提烏斯之外的其他角色外觀、都欠缺比較具體的構想，只好隨機拋出點子一個一個搭配看看哪個結果最能勝任這個角色。最後我個人最喜歡的結果如下：嬌小、憂愁、東亞女性外貌、心情一直都很不好，是說她的肌肉量偏高，沒錯我只是單純不想畫弱不禁風的角色(毆)另外我還畫了女性版普羅提烏斯的臉在旁邊，沒任何理由，就只是想畫哼哈哈哈。

# 海神 - 初步構想&其他構想
難免還是要設計一些沒人有興趣的生物。綽號「海怪」、「鯨魚怪」，名字直接照音譯的話叫「利維坦」，本意是海中怪獸，但中文和Proteus一樣、都被我翻成「海神」。是說圖片裡寫了鯨神這個名號，因為覺得中文念起來有點遜掉，所以不採用。海神的概念：巨大、噁心、優雅、壯麗，大致就是一個外星生物版的大鯨魚，但被人們當做神一樣崇拜或畏懼的神秘生物。另外它和克蘇魯一點關係都沒有。

# 其他補充 - Proteus(海神)的世界觀
海神基本上是平行世界(AU)，但曾經有著與我們類似的歷史與科技，直到約在2100年，爆發人類與人工智慧之間毀滅性的戰爭。本作故事約在該戰爭的100-200年後開始，也就是包含了後末日以及科幻的元素。

嗯啊聽起來好像是很大的命題，不過這些背景設定並不是故事的重點，我只計畫從主要的幾個少數角色(目前只需要五名主要角色，其中一個是拿來搞笑用)的觀點來描寫他們之間的故事。各位不會在本作看到一堆解釋用的旁白和天花亂墜的新名詞，若非必要，我傾向完全不用旁白、甚至不用角色獨白的方式，而只用畫面中實際發生的事來講故事。雖然並不代表我很擅長啦。

不管怎麼說，本企劃的的製作動機是為了重現一些我過去從OTP裡得到的靈感──簡單來說，就是一個能力平庸的人(Credo)過度執著於追求一個超乎他能力所及與理解的目標(Dante)。類似的故事通常都是悲劇收場，大概是每個創作人寫到故事結局時都想硬擠一些寓意在裡頭。但我一點都不想這麼幹，本作的模式將如前幾篇文所說的「砂盒模式」：不需要任何寓意，我只需要一個完整的世界，幾個完整的角色，然後單純地看這些角色會如何彼此互動，這個世界被創造的目的是為了反映與重現我從OTP還有真實世界中得到的靈感，所以它並不需要嚴格的主軸或結局。
