Improving on the shading (first two images, done in Photoshop): https://www.patreon.com/posts/improving-on-18884882
Shading WIP (The third image, done in Paintstorm Studio): https://www.patreon.com/posts/shading-wip-18778243
I've constantly noticed that Photoshop may be the best choice to dealing with lighting & realistic shading. It creates very subtle and nature value vibrancy. But yet it does a very bad job of GPU optimization and lacking some painter(or drawer)-must-have features and...Adobe basically didn't care too much for ppl who mainly make manga and illustration. *sigh*
But I'll keep learning to paint on Photoshop anyway. x_x
