Long-term side project story idea poll!

Hey everyone!  

Some of you might remember that the plot of First Song was chosen by Patreon patrons.  Well, Outspan Foster and I have a new project idea.  

Before you ask, no, this is not going to take away time from my other writing, and I think it might actually help.  Outspan is actually going to do a lot of the heavy lifting.  

This plan involves tryinga new type of storytelling and actually creating a new pen name to write this story under.  

Again--please do not worry.  My focus right now is still Delvers LLC 5 and maybe some Apocalypse Cultivation. If we start on this, my productivity will go up, not down.  On that note, thank you for your patience.  I just got over a massive bout of depression like... a day or two ago.  Now I'm firing on all cylinders and trying to catch up.  

I'm jazzed to be working again like I should be.

The MC is portaled…to another world like ours but where firearms were never invented.  The culture frowns upon all projectile weapons that aren’t magic for anything but hunting.

In this world, every person gets a simple magic power that can be used once per day.  However, after arriving, the MC receives two…

Another world is mostly water.  There are no large continents, only islands, and most islands are owned and lived on by individual families.  Travel is dangerous.  The ruins of an ancient civilization are under the waves.

Everyone in this world can do simple magic.  The MC can only use water magic, but he also has the natural ability to breathe underwater.

In a dangerous world ruled by dragons, the MC works as a dragon’s butler.  The dragon he serves was his friend, and used a great deal of magic and items to keep the MC alive for a thousand years.  One day the dragon dies or is killed in combat, and the MC no longer has a job.

He decides to retire and starts a farm.  While he doesn’t have any more magic power than the average adventurer, he is very, very wise, perceptive, and has several hundred years of martial practice.

In a world of islands, transportation is all facilitated by tireless, ancient metal ships that are self-driving and act as ferries.  They leave at the same time every day, and take the same route every day.

One day the MC finds one that has not moved for thousands of years and the moment he steps foot on it, he is imprinted as its captain.

The world is early industrial, but everyone can turn into one animal.  The MC discovers that he can turn into two animals, but he keeps it a secret.  The story starts as he is beginning his apprenticeship to be a detective.

The MC is a natural magician but wants to be a warrior instead.  He goes to college for adventurers and graduates.  He is a low ranking, so-so swordsman, but is a naturally competent wizard…but hates using magic.

In the distant past, humans took to the skies in giant floating cities because the ground was overrun with monsters.  The MC is afraid of heights and hates the air.  When he was young, he discovered that most monsters either ignored him or couldn’t sense his presence.

After a nasty breakup, he goes to the surface of the planet to open the only inn on earth that caters to adventurers.  He also starts a garden.

In a low tech, low magic world, some people develop natural magic powers. Most of them are not all that useful. The MC has a hard time learning magic, but his power is flight.

Everyone touches an orb on their 18th birthday that gives them the top three jobs they are best suited for.

The MC comes from a long line of powerful magic swordsmen but he hasn’t ever been any good at it.  When he touches the orb, all three jobs displayed are powerful mage careers.  The MC’s family is against him making the change, and he has no idea where to start.  He’s already done with school, but he sets out to be a mage on his own terms.

The world is under attack by demons.  Sometimes demons can infect a human and turn them, sort of like vampires but much more bestial.  The MC is a student mage, and in a twist of fate, he is bitten and the demons try to turn him, then leave him to change and kill his own kind.  Instead, he finds out that he is immune to the change, has resistance to demonic magic, and attains the unnatural strength of demons after resisting his monster-fication.

However, he also is granted demonic magic and has to hide it from his peers for fear that they will label him a spy…or worse, dissect him as a freak.
