BC Blog 12/9 - Christmas prep and writing setbacks

*Fun fact, the display behind the Christmas tree has the first printed copy of Delvers LLC, and you can see Aodh's dagger in there.*

-------------

It's that time of year again.  I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of Christmas, but Melli is, so decorations and fra-la-la are becoming part of my life in December whether I like it or not.  Ultimately, I think all of this is good for me, so I don't complain...too much.

So this year I think we finally have the tree to it's final incarnation at least for the next few years.  The fact it's sitting next to my HP Lovecraft shrine on the right, and the writer-journey-display behind it both amuse me.

Do you all enjoy Christmas.  What about Chrismas decorations?

-----------------------------

Asgard Awakening 2 is coming slowly, and I'm a little frustrated.  I've actually scrapped two chapters that I've written, all because the personalities aren't right for Trav's Kin companions.  To help fix this, I'm going to take the time to thoroughly re-read  Asgard Awakening.  Other authors do this regularly, but I hate reading my own work after it's been published. Every time I do, I beat myself up about any mistakes I find, or ways I could have done something better.

Delvers LLC is completely intolerable for me to read now...lol.

Anyway, after reading the first book again, I think the problem should be solved, but reading for work sucks, at least for me.  If it weren't my own work it would probably be fun, but tearing myself apart is brutal.

I hope you are all having a good month so far, and as always, thank you for your support.  The new changes I made to this Patreon page seem to have gone over well, which I'm thankful for, and now I feel much more focused in how to make sure I'm not letting anyone down.

The next item on the to-do list is finally getting the damn Patreon video updated.  That'll be a full day to do, which otherwise could be a day of writing.  These hard decisions are difficult to make sometimes, but I have to admit I always feel great after finally finishing something I've been putting off for months.  I'm sure everyone reading this can relate to that!

Stay frosty (but not too frosty),

I mean I say write instead of do the video. I’m pretty sure most of us would rather read more of your work faster than have a new video. Back to work, book-slave!

So a suggestion that I picked up from Robert Jordan, instead of reading your previous books play the audio...
