Added 2019-05-08 06:14:03 +0000 UTCI have a bit of an update for everyone, and an explanation for why Nora 3 isn't done yet.
Honestly, writing Nora is hard for me. It's about... 5x harder than Delvers, and makes about 10x less...lol.../cry
But seriously, this has been the hardest thing artistically that I've ever attempted. As a result, when I had started reading recently, I just let myself finish an entire series. I took the advice of some other authors and gave myself permission to take a break.
The result of this has been that I'm completely caught up on Solo Leveling (the light novel), at least to the point where the translation becomes unreadable, and I discovered the Beginning after the End. Charles Dean actually clued me in on this one, and it's a blast.

It's like a funky mix of portal fiction, reincarnation, and cultivation. I've never seen anything quite like it, although it reminded me of First Song a bit. The story has really inspired me, both to finish what I have going now, and to write something new while I take a break between Delvers LLC and Delvers Inc in about a year.
In other news, I am going to turn over some editing of Ball of Light to someone else because I'm so slow this year. I'll also be updating my website (finally), and turning over working on GameLitRPG to Melli. I just don't have time for everything, and if I don't learn how to delegate better, all my projects will stagnate.
This has been a jagged pill to swallow, but hopefully I will be able to hit goals better now with some help. My neverending fear of letting people down, especially you guys, has forced me to work through some of the bottlenecks I have this year with getting stories out the door.
So as always, and I really mean this from the bottom of my heart...thank you for the support. The insights you guys give, and the firm but gentle kick in the ass I get from having a constant audience forces me to either be reading or writing, not...fucking off to play Fallout for another 400 hours. I'm sure some of you understand the struggle there...sigh.
Thank you,
-BC

I love the side stories in the delvers universe. They broaden the world and taking your time to be inspired means a better result in the end. I know the world is all instant gratification oriented and twitter bytes of info are almost too long for some people to enjoy. Real depth takes time, I'd rather wait for a great product than get a mediocre product quickly.

2019-05-08 10:06:18 +0000 UTCWe all greatly appreciate the continued efforts you put forth on a regular basis. Especially when “all” you are doing is entertaining us. It is continuously encouraging to see your drive to make things the best they can be. Delegating can be one of the hardest things to do, (IMO at least), especially if you’ve only known doing things mostly on your own for a while. Do whatever you need to. We’ll be here.

2019-05-08 09:09:03 +0000 UTCI appreciate that. I know that a lot of you are patiently waiting for Delvers, which just makes me appreciate you more, and makes me feel more guilty that this is taking so long. :( sigh

2019-05-08 06:59:22 +0000 UTCI mean it's not what I was hoping to hear. But writers arent puppets. I just want Nora to feel essential. If I'm terribly honest id rather just have had Delvers 4. But I'm with you on the journey and hope Nora is the best she can be.
